It's the popular thing to hate MS. Big corporation, big money, and recent big blunders. MS has provided the noose to hang itself, but wait.......... they changed. Not entirely and probably reactively to the competition, but why hang em?
I hear a lot of "I would have respected them more if they didn't change their policies, at least Sony had a clear vision, etc". Yeah sure, but the other 9/10 would complain about the original policies.
...
Dunno if I needed claps. Uh....thanks?
This is a competitive race. Of course MS is going to show their UI. I don't think it was a knee jerk reaction. They had probably already planned to at some point during Gamescom.
They (Sony and MS both) didn't have any ground-shattering announcements, really. Why not spend a little time detailing the UI.
Sony is showing strong support for Vita, which is needed in order for it to survive. Lots of indie support. Didn't see AAA exclusive games, aside from launch title Killzone:SF.
MS announced Fable:Legends (mixed feelings on this one) and Kinect fighting game shovelware. FIFA console deal makes sense for UK. Their launch titles look good, but hardly definitive system sellers.
Both were underwhelming at Gamescom. No one really won.
I really wish people would get away from referring to the Xbox one as a cable box.
There is no way a cable box or smart tv could play next gen games. It's kind of a lame comparison.
This must be Ubisoft's crap game of the year. After they launch Watchdogs, their annual Assassin's Creed installment, and Rayman, what else do they have?
The Division, the Crew (I believe) are 2014 releases.
Unleash the Kinect shovelware title!
It may be the first shovelware Kinect game.
I'm not positive about it, I played Fighter Uncaged. It was crap, but here's hoping it's not.
Really wish Kinect Sports Rivals was making launch. Needed TLC, insuring a quality Kinect game. I wish more there were more delays. Some games come out too soon, (Madden/Skyrim) and suffer gamebreaking glitches when they should delayed a couple months to tighten them.
Could you imagine MS packing in...
I think the guy played it the best he could. That is how the game is between missions. To me, Dead Rising is like a lot of Capcom games, dated controls(tank controls-Resident Evil), archaic design(saving in bathrooms-Dead Rising), and sadist difficulty(Dark Souls) inaccessible to anyone but the devoted hardcore.
I think Capcom, Konami, and From Software are deliberately old school. They don't make concessions for the casual. You will be challenged. You may not compl...
I read that the time limit is gone except in a "hardcore" difficulty. The time limit turned me off on the previous titles.
Thought the controls were wonky and aiming with the left stick was awful.
It looks cool though, but it's still Dead Rising. For better or worse.
I hate "exclusive content" because it's like a half-assing moneyhat attempt and fail.
Wanted to see more exclusives announced and info on already announced (Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Black Tusk Studios) games.
Hope FIFA bundle steals some preorders away from Sony, but probably not substantial enough to impact Sony's commanding lead.
I have a feeling that Sony will slaughter MS paltry lackluster showing at Gamescom.
I think if it hasn't been announced yet, no one knows except MS and that 3rd party dev.
MS launch lineup is solid. Let the games do the talking.
Don't know why people need an "apology" conference to clarify their plans? Their actions since E3 have detailed the 180. It's well documented.
Let the press and Germans get their hands on the games. They are lucky, I won't get to play a next generation console till my preordered xb1 arrives and I'm confident MS has great games to come. That's why I'm getting it. ...
Press conferences haven't went well this year for MS. I'd show off more of the launch titles in playable form to showcase quality and variety.
Forza 5 needs to show another playable track n cars, dead rising 3 should be playable, Chief Thunder playable for Killer Instinct.
Throw in some big, exclusive unveil and call it a day.
Don't need a conference for that.
There doesn't seem to a shortage a jrgs on PS. I'm not a fan of them. They generally have nonsensical names, plots, and characters. Gameplay seems dated or deliberately old-school.
One thing that the Asian developers can't be discounted on is lack of creativity. They do bring fresh ideas in a sea of copycat shooters.
Still can't relate to them though.
In Pete's defense, the games were still quality. Just some were better than others.
The rumor was the next Fable would be an MMO, and that worried me. Maybe my fear is unjustified due to me never playing one.
I liked Fable, loved Fable 2, and was disappointed by Fable 3. The game is RPG lite. I like it for what it is, but crave more depth.
I can find faults in Skyrim and Dragon Age too. Strong suits and shortcomings alike.
Fable was quality title, let's hope it exceeds expectations next generation instead of getting ...
Awesome username and pic! Do you have a glowing weak spot on your back?
Oh, and I agree with you.

Oh, and I agree.
I'm definitely for "equality" in fraggin'.
How long till some nutjob throws a fit about "violence against women"?
Do you think the 5th of November is too soon? I just want the launch games to have the most polish they can, but I have a feeling no matter what day in November, the games will still be buggy.
