It's a launch game and I think it looks really good. The fact that it isn't in 1080p, who really cares? Most PS3/XBOX 360 games were in 720P. From my understanding, the difference between 1080p and 720p is only noticeable on larger TVs (50" and bigger).
People act like the game is in standard def all the sudden.
Sony made some real worthwhile improvements to the dualshock design after years of basically keeping it the same. The touchpad seems overly big/ gimmicky to me, but so does rumble triggers on xb1 controller.
I get hand cramping on smaller devices (psp/ ds) so xb1 controller worries me. 360 design was perfect in comfortablity.
Hopefully, they've improved lb/rb frailty. One good drop and they require vice grip pressure to register response and ever...
The answer is "no". While an "always connected" is the future, a large chunk of people are still without a convenient internet solution.
I tried to get Time Warner to run cable to my house (a service area is only 1mile away) and they won't do it. That leaves me stuck with satellite intenet, which is expensive, slow, and from my understanding, useless for online gaming.
This may be a small demographic, but it is a demographic none the...
I wish we had more side by side comparisons of multiplatform games (BF4, Watchdogs, etc.) between xbox1 and PS4. Hell, even 360 and PS3 versions.
No one has reported definitively which system's multiplats look better. Why? Maybe they look the same or only marginally better.
Hell, I'd donate to a Kickstarter campaign to make a fully customizable "generic" football game like Front Page Football used to be on the PC two decades ago.
Madden 25's franchise relocation is very limited. Only 3 potential team mascots per city? Only 3 options for uniforms and colors per city? Stadiums are all generic looking and have no way to customize them to make them unique.
They had more options 2 years ago. Everything is ...
Madden 25 is the best game they've put out this generation. Unfortunately, that's not saying much.
The problem is the Madden series has been mired in bugs and glitches for this entire generation (game freezes and crashes), removal of established features (owner mode gone for years than introduced as something new) or half-ass ones (Madden Ultimate Team Card game- Online Only- BAH, I say!)
You look at MLB the Show and NBA 2k and you know you're ge...
Gamescom was a major disappointment on both fronts. I kept checking throughout all of last week to find trickles of info, but nothing groundbreaking from either company.
I don't understand "timed" exclusives. It's a half-ass attempt to draw consumers that is an ultimate waste of money for the company. By saying, or speculating that it is indeed coming to PS3/PS4, the PS owners will just wait it out and get it when it arrives. They'll be great games in the meantime to make the wait bearable for them and MS bragging rights are only temporary (maybe a few months). Why not go big and buy it outright? Any killer title the competition does...
I hope we get 8-10 years for this upcoming gen. The beating MS is getting, seriously gives me doubts, but I'm still supporting them regardless. Competition is great for all.
I'm certain I'll be happy with my decision in November, but I hope an even brighter future.
I just don't understand the draw of MMO games, having never played them. To me, the combat/ graphics look lackluster and at the expense of having more user players and a bigger world.
By having more players, maybe there is dynamicism in community-driven content.
My friend played only WOW for years. Did really nothing else. Is it a testament of a great game that keeps on giving? Personally, I like closure. Closure that allows me to move on.
The comparisons will be inevitable. Two rival companies, two highly rated racing series. GT6 is coming out towards the end of PS3s console cycle, and should benefit from devs being familar with it's tech. Forza 5 is a launch title made on a new console. The best titles usually arrive towards the end of a console's cycle, launch titles seem rushed and devs have not taken advantage of the hardware just yet.
That being said, Forza 5 will be one of the most polished ...
I would've been mad in the past, but we live in a ever-growing digital age.
Being in a rural area, I'm trying to find the best solution for a fast internet solution since Time Warner Cable is still not available in my area, but I'm postitive satellite will at least work.
Forza 4 still had some much, I'm still not through career mode and I've preordered Forza 5 regardless.
I understand. I was eyeing those race wheels, but couldn't pull the trigger on any of them because of price. Hopefully they'll work,, and if not, they'll be an adaptor workaround for you.
I'll be upset if Rock Band returns and all my current gen peripherals won't work with next gen entry in series.
I do wanna see how they stack up. The last iteration of GT franchise on current gen v.s. next gen launch of Forza 5.
Generally, the best games of a system come out towards the end of the console generation. Considering GT series is always a highly polished, great-looking racing sim, I do wanna see how it compares to Forza 5, since devs have yet to tap all the potential out of the new system( launch games tend to sometimes look like higher end last gen titles)
Another thing. Do think that "all" the announcements have been made by Sony and MS?
Seems like there is something missing.
Or was it just underwhelming because I had unfairly judged it to be something bigger than it actually was?
Yes, please let us know. If they're packing it in, I wanna know if the improvements have been worthwhile. The original Kinect had potential, but was ultimately flawed tech that didn't live up to expectations.
I have no doubt that Kinect Sports Rivals will be the Kinect game to play. I just hope the new Kinect can be robust enough and utilized more often to allow a better or more intuitive way to play.
P.S.- While in Germany, drink a fresh, delicio...
I think Sony bought out Gaikai, which is A big cloud service already.
How they utilize it, remains to be seen. My guess is- cloud storage, streaming PS3/PS2 games. ( at least for now)
If Titanfall is a testament to cloud processing, I still need to see something more substantial. Looks great though.
Xbox One, Day One.
It's really hard to compare exclusives on launch.
Xbox One- RYSE (3rd person Roman action game), Forza 5 (racing), Killer Instinct (fighting), Dead Rising 3 (3rd person/open world action game).
Versus
PS4- KILLZONE: Shadow Fall (1st person shooter), Drive Club (racing), Knack (???), and OctoDad (???)
This game won't be unfun crap like ps allstars.
I thought all was to be revealed at hotchips, and I guess it wasn't the case. We'll see. There are times where I felt I made the wrong decision in preordering an xb1, but I know their game lineup is right for me. I keep expecting some groundbreaking announcement and have been disappointed largely. If something is being held secret, one can only speculate at this point. That is what we're seeing. Pure speculation. It seems unlikely though. You'd think cost would be thro...
