...and the sad thing is-we probably won't get "official" numbers of broken systems. The media reporting every little article on hardware related issues for launch consoles and the fanboys eat it up. Media mouthpiece blowing things out of context-Oh, that's never happened before.
;)
I hope all broken consoles get fixed (and on larger scale-manufacturing issues leading to said fails) so people can enjoy next gen gaming.
Messageboards. They b...
It's worth noting that both consoles (Xbox One and PS4) have had a slew of hardware/ software related launch issues. "Official" perentages of actual system failures will always be spun by their respective companies to damage control the situation. Statistics can be skewed for anyone's means.
Sony has had "BLOD", Microsoft has "Green Screen of Death". There are more issues on both sides, but while my system has some quirks, it works*kno...
Have you even played the console? If the games have been downgraded, it must be minor- they look great!
And Dead Rising 3's framerate is pretty damn solid- even with shit tons of zombies on the screen.
I have Forza 5 and DR3. Both look and play great.
I hope sales go up, if this is the case. The xbox one has been a quality experience for me, after some initial setup issues.
Dead Rising 3 is a pleasant suprise. Didn't care for first two, but this one is special. Forza 5 is solid. Killer Insticnt looks and plays well and at 20.00. TV integrated commands/ features are pretty cool too. Device is quick when switching between features.
I was at Meijer on launch night (last in line- just picking up Dead Rising 3 and xbox live card because mine was arriving from Amazon- next day) and they only had 21 xbox ones and they all sold out. Poor guy ahead of me didn't get one. I felt bad for him. Just one short.
Yeah, mine won't arrive til later in the day. Here's to hoping no disc tray probs or green screens of death.
Thanks. Sincerity is rare on these sites. My xbox one is arriving later today, while I'm at work. Crossing my fingers.
The real problem with the article is, the news is "old hat".
No next generation console (besides Wii U) has backwards compatibility. Would be nice, but once New/better versions of old franchises show up, people quickly forget their last gen games. That's why I'm going next gen. I'm moving on.
1080p should matter. That is why 1080p is better than 720p. Launch games are mostly holdover last gen ports peppered with some exclusive tit...
I agree. I understand it's 2013. I understand people (including myself) have 1080p tvs and would like all my experiences at that resolution, but there are limitations with launch titles on New hardware. In time, the developers will be up to par. People act like 720p is standard def. 4k seems miles away from affordability, unless u want a no name brand and zero content for it. And who wants 3tb movies?
I wish satellite/cable providers would catch up to 1080p. I wish...
There was a rumor about former Team Ninja leader and man behind Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2 on original xbox and 360, Tomonobu Itakagaki, making a game for xbox one exclusively. Could "Devil's Third" resurface?
Take this with a snow shovel-full of pink himalayan salt. It was, after all, found on Misterxmedia's site.
I sometimes wonder if the Black Tusk game is the new Crackdown.
I do believe the PS4 version looks slightly better, but not 50% better than xb1 version. At this point, your're just splitting hairs.
And the Sony fanboys can say what they want about multiplatform parity, but I think Battlefield 4 on xb1 stacks to PS4's Killzone:SF.
Killzone looks a little better from what I've seen, but it isn't thea"FLAWLESS" victory scenario they believe.
Next year will be crucial. Order 1886, Infamous ...
Don't know where Driveclub sits in the racing ecosystem. Is it in-between sim and arcade gameplay?
Sega had some great classics! Streets of Rage 2, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Eternal Champions, Alex Kidd, Outrun, Hang On, Thunderblade, Vectorman, Sonic,Afterburner, Space Harrier, Zillion, Alien Syndrome, Alien Storm, just to name a few.
I've dreaming of remakes of these(excluding Golden Axe: Beast Rider) and many others for years. They even did some great licensed stuff(excluding Aliens:Colonial Marines) with Xmen,Spiderman, and Diehard Arcade.
Totally. I upgraded to a new set this year (plasma Panasonic Viera) with OLED sets and 4k still being ridiculously priced.
Doesn't look like they'll be going down in price anytime soon.
I was underwhelmed by e3 unveiling, still expecting some big, blowout announcement that will knock my socks off.
Don't know if it'll end on launch day. May just be beginning. Launch titles only give a slight glimpse at what to expect.
Fanboys will paint a picture regardless. They will always say their system is better than yours. They splice in facts with their opinions stated as facts and expect it to be gospel.
No one will know until it's over.
Anymore devs won't "give up the ghost" on story details. May ruin the journey. I'm expecting something beyond the whole "avenge my dead family" storyline that has been "beat to death" (with QTE events, ha! jk!). IMO- the more they show of RYSE, the better it looks.
Yeah, it sucks on many levels and I shop at Walmart too. If Gamestop had a certain game exclusively, I'd be pissed too. When one retailer has all the copies, what happens when they run out? Wait til next Tuesday?
Well, at least it's just Zoo Tycoon. Maybe a sleeper hit, but I doubt it.
Yup. And it also muddies the waters of the real hardware probs. I have fam coming over Turkey day and used to bring my 360 over circa 2006-2008, when they were still on fence about that gen (Hell, I was person in whole fam to adopt hd tv). Reports have me scared to transport my xbox one. I think it's meant to stay in your entertainment center, but lord hates a coward.
