No it won't, it will just further highlight the huge disparity in top tier open world games and Ubi's poor attempts at them.

Easily my GOTY so far. 2024 is definitely the year of the JRPG and this game is as good as anything that will come out.

Square's live service graveyard is almost rivalling EA's developer graveyard. Never ever ever spend money on a Square live service game, next up with be Ever Crisis.

People have to stop labelling these games as Genshin competitors. I remember everyone doing the same with Tower of Fantasy which turned out to be trash and nowhere near on par with Genshin. I play the developer's other game Punishing Gray Raven and while it has it's limitations, the combat is top notch. Kuro Games deserves better with this, Wuthering Waves will be a great game, let it shine on it's own merits without the Genshin comparison.

"Rocksteady states that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is not a live service game, and promises loads of free content post-launch."

I think that borderline contradictory statement sums up the situation. It sounds like a live service game, it's plans are a live service game... but they don't want to call it a live service game. MK1 which actually lends itself to the live service model was charging stupid amounts for seasonal fatalities, I'm pret...

That's some serious copium.. name me one Microsoft developed game that was a genuine GOTY contender in the last decade.

That's basically HSR in a nutshell.. take most of the good player feedback from Genshin and refine the overall experience in HSR while simultaneously giving their Genshin playerbase the middle finger.

GTA 5 still holds up so well today especially with mods but I imagine many like myself are ready to see what GTA 6 can bring to the table.

“There’s this great Steve Jobs quote I love: If you keep your eye on the profit, you’re going to skimp on the product. But if you keep your eye on the product, the profit will follow, and I really believe that,” Morhaime explained.

I think that basically explains the problem with Blizzard now and clearly goes against high level execs who couldn't give a toss about the games.

Which highlights the main problem with live service games... a gamer can only juggle so many at once. Many fail because they adopt the model while simultaneously releasing a sub par game, people jump off them quickly, it doesn't take long before they start feeling like a chore as opposed to a hobby. I think MK is the only IP WB could realistically do live service. Fighting game players are more likely to stick around and support the game giving it the stability it needs, look at games lik...

Considering the level of satire in GTA throughout the franchise, AI will definitely make GTA 6 better, I'm hoping for a Skynet questline.

Yeah and those shaky managers are still there while Michael Salvator and many other good talented people were let go. The state of Destiny 2 is because of those managers ignoring the ideas from the talented people who know and love the game. Sony even paid Bungie $1.2 billion to help them avoid staff layoffs. Sony should step in and show those in upper management the door, what reckless waste of resources.

Looking at how it's unfolding, I think Sony actually should get involved, have an internal investigation then get rid of like 90% of the upper management. Let go of some of their most talented developers like Michael Salvatori at possibly one of the worst times of the year to do it, while the untouchable higher ups get their nice fat juicy christmas bonuses. It's disgusting.

Yeah, they let go all the people who actually cared about the future of the game and actually understood the fanbase and contributed great ideas that would have improved things, then kept all the idiots upstairs who denied those same great ideas.

The game isn't growing because it's a complete clusterf**k, it's so difficult for new players to get into and then they took all the great things they've done over in Beyond Light and Witch Queen and then ruined all...

I doubt the MW3 devs will be sweating any time soon but I had an absolute blast in the last beta. Been looking for a shooter for a while now that scratches that itch for me and The Finals definitely has that potential.

You're giving Microsoft too much credit... they're the little guy flaunting Daddy's cash, or at least that's what their Xbox division is. As long as Nintendo and Sony are still successful in doing their thing, I don't see Microsoft trend setting any time soon. When was the last time Microsoft produced a game of the year contender? Like never.

I really wish people would stop calling them Blizzard, they are no longer Blizzard, they are Activision, Kotick just whoring the name.
