Comparing Tekken 8 development costs to Tekken 7 as a way to justify cash shops is disingenuous at best, Tekken 7 released in arcades a good few years before console released so isn't fair to compare that to the development cycle of Tekken 8. I'm not bothered by the cash shop and actually expected it but them sneakily revealing it a month after release and after all the positive reviews deserves being called out for what it is.

Depends on what you value... PSVR 2 offers a superior VR experience looking strictly at gaming side of things,

Whether it needs it is probably debatable but it certainly makes sense, that hardware at that price would make it the most desirable device for PCVR gaming and would certainly be a far better option than anything Meta puts out.

Some people at Nintendo must be livid by the success and seemingly unable to do anything about it. I've not tried it yet but it looks like the game I always wanted Pokemon to become but after trying Shield, I have no faith in Nintendo to create that game.

ARR probably. The game is amazing, there is nothing quite like it out there, the level of character development and story is unmatched in gaming. The early game though poorly reflects the overall value of the game, the early combat, story, gameplay in general and even the voice acting (English) are all pretty bad in comparison to where the game has been since Heavensward really. I'm not surprised many people tried it and didn't stick it out and it's why it's such a hard game t...

Which is a mistake imho. Sony have had a lack of multiplayer games for years now. I've always thought of it as a smart strategy, we all know the big publishers are going to chase the trends and provide those experiences so Sony have just filled the gaps. There is always room for solid single player games but there is only so many GaaS games people can juggle before it becomes more of a chore than a hobby. The sooner the GaaS bubble bursts, the better.

He's just welcoming them to the Xbox family.

My GOTY so far, I always knew if they did the IP justice, it would be a great game but I wasn't expecting the combat to be as great as it is. I know Platinum Games played a role in it and honestly it shows.

I'm no MS fan but really, if it wasn't for Microsoft and their push for online gaming, I doubt PSN would be what it is today.

I wouldn't take it so literally. He's just compensating for his own failings with his first party studios to do some glorified port begging. We'll be seeing a lot more of this I imagine.

This is why I can't stand Microsoft, they are having to compensate for their own failings in their first party games, I used to respect Phil Spencer for steadying the rocky Xbone ship but he talks so much bollocks these days. Didn't take him long to start the port begging. Anyway my best Phil Spencer impersonation: Starfield and Indiana Jones not releasing on PS5, I'm not exactly sure who it helps in the industry by not being on PS5.

Nope nope nope, live service games should be judged the moment it goes on sale. Granted they deserve to be re-evaluated months down the line,, if the developer deems it worthy of being released at a price, then it's fair game to judge the game in that state.

360 had some amazing JRPGs in it's early days, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia off the top of my head were all amazing games.

Cursed? Have you seen the amount of money Mihoyo bring in? Mihoyo don't care about what anybody says outside of China anyway, they're too busy counting the digits of their back accounts.

Wouldn't a better considering be if Sony would even let Microsoft release gamepass on PS?

That ship has long since sailed, the word "woke has been butchered for a good few years now and 99.9% of the people who use it don't even understand the actual meaning.

No it won't, it will just further highlight the huge disparity in top tier open world games and Ubi's poor attempts at them.

Easily my GOTY so far. 2024 is definitely the year of the JRPG and this game is as good as anything that will come out.

Square's live service graveyard is almost rivalling EA's developer graveyard. Never ever ever spend money on a Square live service game, next up with be Ever Crisis.

People have to stop labelling these games as Genshin competitors. I remember everyone doing the same with Tower of Fantasy which turned out to be trash and nowhere near on par with Genshin. I play the developer's other game Punishing Gray Raven and while it has it's limitations, the combat is top notch. Kuro Games deserves better with this, Wuthering Waves will be a great game, let it shine on it's own merits without the Genshin comparison.
