Exactly lol, I don't buy Nintendo consoles to buy old games released on other formats and a potentially inferior fifa game.

Besides it shouldn't work like that, it should be down to Nintendo to create a product desirable enough to warrant the attention of third parties, not devoted fans blindly buying into potentially subpar products to try and justify third party support.

To be fair, a lot of people probably don't realize that word is offensive. I've used it before myself in the past kind of like how people abbreviate the term "British" with "Brit"

Probably longer if you factor in all the breaks you'll need to compose yourself.. this game is going to be CRAZY in VR.

Honestly, I'm fine with this.. I have my PS4, Xbox One and soon a Scorpio for my home console needs, a portable device that I can dock to be used as a home console works for me and generally feel that this is the best setup for the experiences Nintendo offer.

The feature certainly has me interested but they could have done a far better job showcasing it than with ice cubes and water.

Bleeding backpeddlers, always ruining my day, be it my teammates in bgs or vanilla servers.

I assume they are charging for it at a later date because they plan on bringing their service up to the same level of standard as PS and Xbox. However what they have revealed so far is hardly encouraging but these sort of articles are pointless until we know the facts.

This approach will cost them though with the casual market, less dedicated gamers won't jump through hoops to buy it and certainly won't pay the inflated prices thanks to all the scalpers. Whatever interest they drum up with the casual market will be lost by the time it's more readily available as they'll have already moved on to something different.

Article was unnecessarily negative imho but it's suggestion pretty much highlights Nintendo's problem with the less dedicated of Nintendo fans.. looking at the Switch objectively, the only real conclusion would be the exact same as most Nintendo product releases, wait x amount of time and then buy one when it has more games out. I took this approach with the Wii U and 3DS and have really enjoyed my time with both platforms.

Have to agree, it's like another Wii U but with a more practical selling point. Still, if nothing else, at least it's region free, that's a small step in the right direction.

Thanks for the honesty, should be fine for me.

How's the populations doing? Thinking of picking it up on PS4, still plenty of people playing?

So if I'm reading that right, neither online lobbies or even voice chat will be available at launch? Nintendo going to Nintendo I guess but really, in 2017 how the ef can such basic things we take for granted not be at launch? They should have delayed the Switch imho until summer when they could have released it in a fully functional capacity with a better launch lineup including things like arms and Splatoon 2.

Can Nintendo realistically keep developing games for two different platforms? With no certainty regarding long term third party support for the Switch, I figured one of their main reasons for designing the Switch as they did was so that it'd allow them to focus all their development studios on a single platform which would then give them a far stronger gaming lineup and would arguably allow them to not have to be reliant on third party support.

Do Nintendo hate the UK or something? The price of accessories is an absolute ripoff already and now they hope to charge £60 for games? For a company that usually prides itself on it's family friendly image, there is nothing friendly about these prices.

I've never paid £60 for a game ever, the most was 55 back in the early days of the X1 and PS4 and now you rarely pay more than 45.

Is 1,2 switch a retail game then? Everything about that game screamed bundled imho, looked like a great way to showcase the new technology but I wouldn't really want to pay for it separately.

Honestly, if Nintendo are playing their scarcity tactic with the Switch, it'll cost them in the long run. The saying lightning doesn't strike twice comes to mind and their success with the Wii won't be emulated, that launched with a truly innovative feature, no home console had done motion control gaming before and many were interested in that.. while I personally like what they are doing with the Switch, there is no way in hell their innovation with that will garner the same inte...

Not to mention the overpriced accessories, the pro controller will be a must buy for many of us gamers, factoring that into the overall cost of buying a Switch and I know I'll end up paying a fair bit more than I did for my PS4 and XB1 with the only real justification is that it's potential as a portable device.

It wasn't that bad, the games they showcased looked great, the new Mario in particular looks awesome. My main gripes with the system are the price and the poor launch lineup. I was going to get one on launch day but looking at the launch lineup and the high price, I'll wait until Splatoon 2 comes out I think.
