You know what, you say that as if any of those features are the reason you might buy an Xbox One. I'm not a fanboy and I can appreciate the reasoning of appealing to non-gamers, but the fact of the matter is for folks like us we are GAMERS. These are "video game consoles" up until this point. Xbox One is not for gamers and anyone trying to tell me it is is a goddamn liar.
I'll bite and "wait for E3" yet again, but I'm not ex...
Fanboys will be fanboys. A whole lot of Xbox 360 gamers hate the Xbox One right now too though.
Xbox 360 won the US market by appealing to gamers first and foremost. MS has now abandoned that policy to appeal to folks who could buy the system and never play one game on it. MS is still gonna get that Live money and kickbacks from their corporate partnerships, so they won't lose a dime on those people. Gamers are no longer their important market to convince and capture, so ...
Must be why Sony is trying to get all the PC games on PS4, smart guy.
Very doubtful.
PS4 and SteamBox for me. Probably a Wii U at some point, as well. Xbox One can fall off a cliff for all I care now. In fact...
Xbox... jump off a cliff.
You know, I thought it was just fanning the fire after the PS4 announcement when reports came out that the announcement caught Microsoft off guard. I actually dismissed it as fanboy fodder. But honestly, I can think of no other explanation for this crap. Microsoft uncharacteristically seems like they have no idea what they are doing right now. The unveiling was not intended to be game-centric, yet they still managed to piss off the vast majority of their gaming customers.

Someone isn't informed.
How many developers need to come out and say the PS4 is easy to develop for? I've lost count of them.
COD multiplayer isn't going to change much. The biggest things they need to address are lag and hit detection.... but it won't get fixed unless they give console gamers dedicated servers, which isn't happening even though console gamers make them BILLIONS of dollars.
I agree and this is a common problem with racing games. Hopefully that area gets some better treatment.
I think you are very misguided in your thoughts here. BC is not easy to implement for PS4 to play PS3 games... it's an entirely different system architecture, which is not the case when you buy a new PC or replace parts in your PC or buy a new smartphone (although many new Android phones do not support existing apps when they first come out).
The idea that the games are stored on Bluray discs so they should work on both systems is ridiculous. Wanting BC is fine, but y...
I'm not speaking for anyone, just stating a reality. Vast majority does not mean everyone.
Vast majority don't care about BC. It's message board fodder.
Fair enough. I do agree it was the weakest in the series, but with the setting and lead character being totally different I can see AC4 being a lot better. Edward Kenway seems a lot more interesting than Connor was. Connor was dreadful.
SMH...
Yeah I'm not sure if relatable is the right word there, but despite AC3 selling really well a lot of folks outside the US hated the setting.
Also, the American Revolutionary War is not the same thing as the Civil War...
12.5 million copies sold is not mediocre... at all. Opinions don't really matter in light of this fact.
There are many factors that work against AC4 selling 12.5 million copies. A ton of great games are coming out this holiday season, with the PS4 and (we assume) the new Xbox as well. There is only so much money to go around. So while AC4 may be a much better game than AC3, I can definitely see where they don't expect it to sell as well.
Why the hell wouldn't it, the iPhone wasn't even around when the current gen started. Folks saying its too soon for new consoles are out of their mind.
To be fair, I don't think people who are just now buying a PS3 or 360 are the target audience of next gen consoles at launch. Not everyone who buys a console is as heavily invested in gaming as many of us in these online communities are.
While I agree that PS3/360 continuing to sell well does detract some from next gen sales, I don't think it is significant. PS3 and 360 will be supported well beyond the introduction of these new consoles. There will be plenty of gr...
Molyneux is possibly the most overrated game designer ever. His bloated sense of self-worth is matched only by American McGee. All Molyneux does is promise amazing and deliver mediocre.

I think the fact that Nintendo is trying to capture the technology of tablets and incorporate that into the console experience is very indicative of them trying to push forward and be cutting edge. I think Microsoft putting so much emphasis and R&D into Kinect ...
This got approved? o_O
Butt hurt Xbox fanboys.
