Because Microsoft specifically does not allow cross platform play.
Unless Microsoft loses dump trucks of money on Xbox One, there's no way they stop making consoles. What's more likely is if Wii U doesn't grow and become profitable, Nintendo will just shift it's focus to handhelds.
PC gamers who care too much about being a PC gamer think that.
Consoles are evolving to become full on entertainment centers and are much more accessible/affordable to the common consumer than PC's. They aren't going away anytime soon. These elitist ass hats just want them to for some strange reason.
Maybe they will make Shiva into a bike again.............
DO WANT
PS4 needs a new Tactics Ogre game. Would be so awesome to see that happen.
Good read. Looking forward to this whenever it finally goes up on PSN.
Traditional RPG's or JRPG's are definitely something I would like to see enjoy a comeback. If it's through the indie devs more so than the big guys, I'm definitely ok with that. Although it would be great to see Square return to form and even Capcom dig deep for a new Breath of Fire. Wouldn't mind a new Legend of Dragoon. With the ease of development next gen, I'm hopeful to see mor...
Why do you care if people play games on a console?
No kidding. They need a standard time every week.
I find this really odd after Sony and Microsoft both said games will stay at $60.
Didn't they try to raise prices in the beginning with 360 and PS3?
This is total bs. If they want more sales revenue they need to lower the price, not raise it. Less people are going to buy more expensive games. As it is, a lot of people wait until the prices drop or games go on sale. So many games are not worth the full price... talk of inflation doesn't change that.
I was a hardcore gamer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.
I want both of these games to be awesome. Unfortunately, I have very little faith in Square Enix these days. Hopefully Lightning Returns is good and shows they can still make a great console game... but I'm not counting on it.
I just want them to stop releasing one every single year. Increase the quality, decrease the frequency. I don't wish failure on any game or developer, though. To hope that it bombs just because you're not into it is pretty idiotic.
I think COD will maintain a strong presence for the foreseeable future. Several of my friends who are getting a PS4 have only preordered Ghosts for it. I tell them they should pick up Battlefield 4 as well and play with me, but they honestl...
And 343 sucks, so why does it matter? COD runs at 60 fps, I don't remember anyone championing it as a meaningful achievement in gaming.
Believe me, I understand wanting to see that jump again... I used to love COD4, even MW2 despite its many flaws. The jump in quality from COD3 to COD4 was ridiculous. The brain trust there is gone though, it just is what it is now. That next jump in quality is now coming in the form of Titanfall in my opinion.
Activision knows how to milk a franchise. I'm glad they are letting Bungie do what Bungie wants to do with Destiny.
Failtroll fails.
I'm beyond the point of understanding why people need to hate on COD. If you're not going to play the game, why waste time talking about it? You aren't convincing anyone on a message board to stop playing it by repeating over and over and over again how stupid you think it is. It obviously has a formula that works for people... let them enjoy it. Who cares if they don't want to play a Battlefield 4 or... anything else. It's their money to spend.
@dasbeer88
Why in the world would FF XV come out before Lightning Returns? Sorry to burst your bubble mate but FF XV may not even be a 2014 release. Q4 2014 at the earliest, if you ask me.
With any platform. They want Xbox games to only interact with Xbox players. Square Enix isn't putting FF XIV on 360 or XB1 because of that policy. The Playstation versions will fully interact with PC.
