Borderlands 3 for next gen = me being a stark raving lunatic waiting for it. Borderlands hits all the right notes for me and I was utterly impressed with how much better Borderlands 2 was.

Very true lol... but I at least hope the friendlier architecture of the PS4 cuts that down. They are gonna do a lot more work on textures alone with the greatly improved capabilities, so I do think it will still take them a while.

I really hope DICE makes a great version of BF4 for next gen consoles. I have no interest in getting it for 360/PS3 and I don't game on a PC. I have no doubt that they will give us the real Battlefield experience on the new consoles... hopefully it will take some sales away from COD. Lord knows A LOT MORE HARD WORK goe...
Well with Sony already letting the cat out of the bag that it's a PS3 title, I don't know why it has gotten so much play as a potential PS4 game. PD takes their time to make the game exactly how they want it, so I'm seriously doubting it's a dual release.

Totally agree. I don't keep up with the COD community or whatever so I had no idea Ghost was as popular a character as he is. I played through MW2 and I remember him but it never crossed my mind that he was this great character. He barely has a role and the only thing that sets him apart from any other non-pertinent character is the mask he wore.

I guess the appeal just isn't there for me. I see the potential for it being a neat gimmick, I just don't see how it meaningfully impacts gaming. I don't think virtual reality is the future of gaming. Developers have to see the earning potential to justify putting a budget into it. Folks will think it's neat but I just don't believe real interest will be there for it. It's 3D gaming taken to another level and we already know 3D gaming is a failed experiment.
The next Xbox isn't guaranteed to be a success on the coattails of 360 any more than PS3 was after the most successful console in history. It's a whole new generation and sales aren't guaranteed for anyone.

You would think so, but there are people who genuinely believe PS4 is barely an upgrade over PS3. I mean genuinely they believe this.
If they try to crusade on video games again, they will just end up looking like idiots again. They tried to blame games after Columbine and Newtown, but facts indicated that those individuals were abused and had psychological issues stemming from it. Parents of kids killed at Columbine blamed the school system for never doing anything about bullying but it got buried by the media.
