Again. Clueless.
A CURRENT 4 core CPU running at 3.4 GHZ is SIGNIFICANTLY faster than a 1.6 GHZ CPU with 10,000 cores.
They cannot run, cool and quiet 3.4 GHZ clocks in a small console chassis.
Raw clock-speed matters.
Raw clock-speeds always wins.
Cores are irrelevant. A 3.4 GHZ CPU with 4 cores is far more powerful than a 1.6 GHZ CPU with 8 cores.
You're clueless.
1.6 GHZ CPU's aren't next gen.
What will happen is that once Destiny starts to lose players they will make it easier to get loot. This is what happens, predictably with these kinds of games.
Look at the original release of Diablo 3 compared to the new Diablo 3 Reaper Of Souls edition.
I can play D3 ROS for 60-90 minutes and get several legendary or get pieces to play around with.
When people start leaving Destiny due to lack of loot the developers will increase the drop r...
I'm fine with 900P and i'm sure the game will, once again, look identical in comparisons.

After a certain level of visual fidelity is reached the differences become marginal.
Ok perhaps this is a less dramatic take

I am not a Sony hater, nor am I a Microsoft lover.
I look at the financials objectively.
In this "war". I'd rather be Microsoft than Sony.
I understand your point but if you look at the numbers Microsoft has lost, and WILL NEVER, recoup what they have sunk into ventures such as Xbox, Zune, Surface, Bing etc ...
Xbox is a popular brand.
Xbox is a money sinkhole from a business perspective.
Both statements are true.
LOL this is laughable
Sony is in very bad shape as a company hemorrhaging billions of dollars quarter after quarter.
Microsoft is a VERY rich and profitable company that DOES NOT rely on it's Xbox / Entertainment divisions for a significant source of growth and revenue.
If Microsoft could, they would spin the Xbox division off and get back to focusing on enterprise software sales and services.

Why can't I get out of my car and walk around?
Is it me or it a total waste to build a massive open world driving game but you're stuck in a car and can't get out and walk around to see the scenery.
Yup
This is called the "law of diminishing returns"
When fidelity gets to a certain level it becomes hard to tell the difference.
We saw this with MP3 technology too. Most people can't tell the difference between 192 and 320
On many TV's people can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p.
The Xbox One engineers probably looked at a lot of this and decided on the Xbox One specs base...
Once again
Very disappointing that the PS4 doesn't look all that much better than the Xbox One give it is supposedly more powerful.
There's no difference between system ram and vram on the consoles. It's just ram.
The massive texture files still need to be delivered to the user. This cannot happen via a DVD. Maybe 2 or 3?
This is interesting from a console perspective.
The PS4 and Xbox One have 8 GB of ram which would lead you to believe they can start shipping games that have these kinds of textures but maybe the media and storage devices on the consoles cannot accommodate these file sizes.
I think John Carmack mentioned this at one of his QuakeCON speeches.
Unintelligible response is Unintelligible
This is all moot
Sony just announced massive losses. They are in a very bad situation as an overall company and they will continue to hemorrhage money. The PS4 only accounts for 10%-12% of Sony's overall revenue.

Where is the Xbox One review? Am I missing it on the site?
It would be nice if I could download a digital copy off of the Xbox store for $40.
I'll wait for that.
I hate disks now.
I agree. All of the "WoW is doomed" talk is as silly and misguided as all of the "PC gaming is dead" talk we used to hear.
WoW holds 36% of the MMO market share, brings in 1 billion per year in revenue, is about to launch another major expansion and is still has a deep following after 10 years.
People it takes armies of high paid professionals to make these massive games.
Expect to pay $20 3 or 4 times a year in the form of expansions. A year of WoW is approx $140 and nobody complains.
If you're not interested in games like Destiny and their ongoing DLC releases then do what everybody else does.
