PC gaming was somewhat dying in the early-mid 2000's.

Three things changed that

1: World of Warcraft
2: Steam
3: Minecraft

How the heck is it realistic that I get shot with a missile and lose 80 percent of my health and then after sleeping for only 1 hour regain my full health again!?

This is an outrage! BOYCOTT BETHESDA!

There is no "official" Game of the year award

Since every major gaming site picks a "GOTY" some will give it to Witcher 3, some MGS 5 and some will give it to FO4

There's far more competition now than when WoW was launched. Gamers chew through content in a few weeks and then move onto other games.

WoW was always a "slow burn" game that you spent a lot of time in while ignoring many other game releases in the process because you were invested in a guild.

WoW isn't less popular because the game has changed. It's less popular because gamers have changed.

Sounds like another Destiny ... in a year they're release the "Best game ever edition" and it will have all of the patches, DLC and content that's currently lacking.

We're seen this before.

The $150 price tag is a joke

What happened to the PS4's 50% more GPU power than the Xbox One??

It's probably true.

I saw reports that it tool 1000 people to make GTA 5

I believe Bethesda had 100 people on Fallout 4

GTA 5 isn't ten times better than Fallout 4

That's bound to happen when you release the same game 6 times in a row

Elder Scrolls 6 will be even bigger

Huge!

Fallout 3 and Skyrim were busting at the seams on last gen consoles

Fallout 4 feels like the first Bethesda console release that finally has the memory and horsepower to realize its full potential as a big open world game.

Loving it so far

There's only so much you can do with consoles that have the gaming power of a mid-ranged gaming laptop.

1.6 / 1.75 GHZ CPU's can only do so much.

The minimum speed of most PC CPU's is 3.4 GHZ

It matters

Fallout 4 is the same general game Bethesda has been releasing since Oblivion.

It uses the same general engine that Skyrim used.

Fallout 4 will be hugely popular with DLC and mods for 3-5 years.

Next stop: Elder Scrolls 6

Growing up in the 1980's I remember my parents wouldn't let me watch the TV movie: The Day after

I highly recommend watching this.

Great mood primer for a Fallout game

Those Low end 1.75 and 1.6 GHZ CPU's aren't going to perform miracles.

These consoles have speed limits.

Just get both consoles people.

It's not that big of a deal.

If you can't afford both systems then maybe you shouldn't be playing video games at all and instead studying or working on your career / earning potential.

And Minecraft happened ...

World of Warcraft is probably THE greatest achievement in gaming history.

It will remain the top MMO for a number of years going forward.

Somebody clock the Xbox One or PS4 CPU to 3.4 GHZ and let's see what these things can really do.

The CPU's are ridiculous at their current speeds
