Xbox isn't a significant part of Microsoft's revenues people.
How many times do we need to cover this.
The success or failure of Xbox won't make or break Microsoft
Microsoft is a large enterprise technology and services company that has a small entertainment division compared to the rest of it's core business.
Let's all say it together ...
Wait until you see what IBM does
The same thing just happened (and has been happening) at hewlett packard) and you're going to see the same thing happen at IBM and other large tech industry titans.
Like John Carmack said
The Kinect is essentially a high latency mouse.

It's funny how much chatter and emphasis there is on resolution and almost no talk of how capable the PS4 and Xbone at anti-aliasing and anistrophic filtering
It's like as long as a game hits the 1080p marketing requirement people think they are getting the highest quality graphics there are.
Load up a game like Tomb Raider or Metro on a PC and go into the graphics options.
There's boat loads of settings that affect visuals.
At least Bioware hired somebody who knows something about gaming (especially MMO's) instead of some "professional" consultant or analyst who played their last video game when Atari was big.
Go Pokket.
Good for Pokket! Her gaming videos are always good and her analysis is insightful.
Congrats!
I don't care if the whole gaming industry implodes, as long as Bethesda keeps making games.
PC gaming was supposed to be dead a few years ago and then Steam came along and it's pretty vibrant now.
I still think if you're a gamer then you basically have all three platforms (Xbox, Playstation, PC) eventually.
If you're a gamer then you have a PC / Xbox One / PS4 because that's the only way you can have full coverage for all the games that come out.
I don't want to hear about people not being able to afford all three platforms.
If you can't afford all a PS4 / One and PC then you probably shouldn't be wasting time playing video games anyway and get back to working on your schooling or career goals.

UGH
Ooooooo 4x anti aliasing!!
Welcome to PC gaming circa 2009 console fans!!
What's next?
Playing with ... **gasp** a mouse and keyboard?

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzz
This is what next gen graphics will look like on consoles

Sony and Microsoft have been losing billions since the end of the PS2 era on their respective entertainment ventures.
Many PC gamers were scratching their heads as to how Sony and Microsoft could release very powerful hardware (Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3)at such low prices and make money.
Now we know.
post-PS2 console profits are a myth.
This doesn't mean anything unless they tell us what level of anti-aliasing is used.
Ant-aliasing is what makes PC gaming visually better than consoles generally (if you have the hardware to enable 4x or 8x)
Microsoft and Sony have lost billions since the end of the PS2 era.
Microsoft will NEVER see the money back that they have dumped into their entertainment divisions.
NEVER
Has the promise of parallel programming on all these cores ever come to fruition?
To me the cores help the various operating system and UI swapping (like snapping and skyping or watching TV on the One while you game)
For driving raw FPS at high resolutions with things like MSAA you need high clock-speeds and a lot of ram.
You need a PC
