I can't believe you're talking about 5 GHZ CPU and the console CPU's only run at 1.6 / 1.7 GHZ
The difference has to matter
Has there been any example of a multi-platform game looking THAT much better on the PS4 than on the One?
I can't think of one.
I mean SIGNIFICANTLY better. Not just marginally.
Somebody needs to take a PS4 and Xbox One and overclock the CPU's to 3+ GHZ and let us know how much that changes the FPS / Resolution equation.
Yes
We all get the formula.
It's the same basic formula of Demon's Souls and in the game industry when a formula is popular it's repeated over and over until it stops being successful.
We get it.
We were told the Kinect would change gaming too and it has had a marginal impact.
We have a long way to go before anybody is going to play a few hours of Call of Duty with a VR helmet stapled to their head.
Anybody else get the feeling that the Witcher dev team played Skyrim and just said ..
"Let's make Skyrim again!"
After hundreds of hours of Skyrim I tried to play Dragon Age Inquisition and it was couldn't get into it.
I hope the same doesn't happen with Witcher 3
You're not going to get 1080p all the time with 1.6 / 1.7 GHZ CPU's.
There are laptop CPU speeds.
3 Steps to Upgrading your Video Card:
Step 1: Wait until Bethesda releases Fallout 4 and/or Elder Scrolls 6
Step 2: Mod Fallout 4 and/or Elder Scrolls 6 with all of the different graphics and texture packs you want to run.
Step 3: Buy an upgrade that runs your obnoxiously modded games.
I'm thinking Fallout 4.
The question is ...
Will Bethesda's next game be released on PS3 and 360 along with the current gen?
3 developers?
If Liminal Games can make anything close to Skyrim or Dark Souls with 3 developers then Bethesda has a lot of layoffs to do.
MS and sony are publicly held companies and data related to revenues, profits, losses and other financials are readily available for you to read.
MS has lost billions on the Xbox brand as well.
The big difference is that MS has $80 billion in cash and very large revenue streams from their core businesses.
Sony has approx 8 Billion in cash on hand and is hemorrhaging money from a lot of what should be their core businesses.
...
MS and Sony executives don't care about the console race. They care about sustainable growth for their companies and shareholders.
The xbox One and Ps4 aren't going to be engines for growth for either company.
There's already been talk of spinning off the Xbox brand and Sony's Playstation brand has been a complete dog since their domination ended with the PS2 era.
You console kids should take a step back and look at the broad...
Yay! All of Sony's other divisions are losing money but the Ps4 which only represents 12 percent of the total business is doing great!
Let's all smoke a victory cigar!
lol
After hundreds of hours in Skyrim I couldn't stand Dragon Age Inquisition.
I think there's room for games like Ryse and The Order for people who just want to come home from work and play games that aren't too complicated.
I am sick of hearing about games being too short from kids who start playing a game at noon on a Saturday and don't stop until the credits roll.
Most of these games are plenty long when they are played for an 60 to 90 minutes at a time.
In terms of QTE's - again - not every game is ...
No one review matters all that much
There's no confusion as to what are generally good to great games and which ones have problems or are poor.
This is not an issue
Move on people
Christ console gamers just throw together a PC gaming box and add it to your inventory of entertainment devices
It's not that hard
Having a PC gaming rig and one or two gaming consoles is normal now.
Get over it
There won't be any 4K gaming with 1.6 / 1.75 GHZ CPU's people.
Get over it
80 billion in cash and very large revenue streams from their core businesses = X-Factor
