This game could be made for the Phillips Cd-I and it would still be a good thing. People tallying Kinect scores are flipping their lid about this stuff - how many of them actually know who Mizuguchi is? If they know what Rez is, did they get past what their XBLA demo contained?

The game's beyond Kinect. Not for business, mind you - Kinect is a smart business move, while Child of Eden is the sequel to a game that sold horribly at its launch, but for long-time gamers, Ch...

The crowds. Ha. Remember that E3 is not the geek convention it used to be; most of the crowds are some form of press. Some will be elated, and most won't know what the heck Rez is. Some will love that fitness games will probably make some money. Good for them. I'm sticking with games that are actually good.

@The Pope
YES. It is. Check the entire trailer, and at the end you'll see it's also PS3.

@Blaze
I get your point, even though it wasn't very clear. D4rkNikon said it better. The writer isn't saying it's exclusive, he's saying it might do that motion control system a bit of good in terms of its perception. It's just that this writer, along with the conference speakers, announced it in a way that made many people think it was a 36...

Sorry, it took me a bit to type that last part out coherently!

Please pardon this calm post, as I am trying to repress breaking out into all caps and going nuts. It's finally happening. I've waited for years.

A lot of you have no clue why this is important, and that's alright. But if you played through Rez at its release on either the DC or PS2, through Area 5, you probably know. Do you know about the gaming site, Area 5, aka the guys behind Co-op? Read the about section. 5483d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

*searching* Yup. You're right. Plus the "Lightning Bolt Action" part connects to Raiden meaning "Thunder and Lightning."

A winner is you. Bubbles, of course.

@hxczuner - Okay, that's assumed, and it makes sense, but I would think that Kojima left so much to the imagination during last year's announcement because something about the plot is going to be a big surprise. That's why I like cited info and not just consensus gu...

I'm thinking of either Sunny or Raiden's son as being the main character of Rising if it's really a continuation from MGS4. Heck, maybe both. Like we've seen in the past few days, no one really knows who the person in the MGS Rising trailer is just yet. You'd think Raiden at first, but everyone from Gray Fox to Sunny has been mentioned.

The focus on the actual page is stuff we've already seen before. That doesn't mean there won't be some new hardware, who knows? I just don't think this particular page is worthy of hinting toward some big new thing like a PS4 or PSP2. Move is hardware, and a cheaper PSP with a UMD drive would also be hardware. Let's hope there's more, but this page says nothing.

I'm partial to the Cheetahmen theme myself, but hey! Whatever. Also, I'd probably add the opening theme to Chrono Trigger in there.

Actually, this article stinks. Don't just put "Best" on something and then make a list that you justify by saying people recognize the tune. If you do that, put "Most Recognizable" or "Most Popular." Otherwise, state your friggin' opinion on the best tracks and stand behind it.

No, it wasn't. It was covered by a different guy completely, but he sounded like Tankian, so people thought it was SOAD. Someone picking on the silliness going on spliced live Toxicity footage to the song: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Even then, it's not a remix because it's not using any of the original material. It's a different performance of it, so it's a cover. And it&...

"Our analysis concluded that both games ran at around 30 seconds per frame..."

Wow. That's a very slow game. One frame sits there for 30 seconds before the next one pops up? That's, like... slower than the framerate to Ocarina of Time!

Gotta love it when typos lead to some pretty funny ideas.

The architecture for that stage looks amazing so far! I can't believe I'm talking about architecture in a racing game, but holy crap, here it is!

Wait... Kotaku *Australia* announces things about Rock Band 3? The country that didn't get Rock Band 1 until 2 was already out in the States. They're not going to get Rock Band 3 until we're playing virtual instruments on the friggin' Moon! Why are they seeing the peripherals first?

If I ever play Blue Stinger again, it's going to be straight-up riffing, MST3K style. That game looked like it didn't age well on the day it was released!

Although I'll always love the christmas-y music that played in the mall while I shot monsters in the face. That was awesome. The swimming mechanics? Not so awesome.

No, it's pretty obvious that he's talking about Platinum having Xbox360 programming experience, and no PS3 experience (since they outsourced Bayonetta to Sega). If they can do a great job on the PS3 version, they already know the Xbox, so they'll make a great port of it. Nothing about power differences or whatever.

I'm so friggin' pleased that this gem is getting a hi-res console revisioning. Sure, it looks like the same game as the iPhone iteration at first, but the 3D stuff? Nice call.

It'll also be good to play this game without crazy rampant slowdown! Granted I played this with a 2nd gen. iPod touch, but still. Can't wait. Cannot wait!!!

Did anyone mention this yet? http://n4g.com/news/540477/...

Let's look at this from a business-y perspective.

Start out with this: this video cannot be a "fake." The quality of the cameras, cinematography, accessibility to many age groups by representing most stuff without supporting text, extensibility to different countries because of t...

You know, there are proto-ads out there that are made by agencies in order to propose a marketing plan, promote their ideas, and show off their capabilities as ad producers. It's not from Sony, but it's probably from a perfectly valid advertising firm.

That said, if this was a real prototype proposal, then maybe Sony is courting agencies over PS4 advertising. Probably not to be shown at this year's E3, but for some time in the not too distant future, somewhere in...

Okay, in the article, the director of Lost Planet 2 says that evolution's necessary in JRPG's. Really. Says the guy who made a giant me-too of the Monster Hunter franchise.

But also, he's right, but not in a "Japan needs to make brown-and-green gritty games to grab the USA Modern Warfare crowd" kind of evolution.

Look at what Platinum is doing with Vanquish. Japan has so much they can contribute to newer Western trends, be they RPG...
