The entire castle section is a slog.

I think Xbox will be successful because they bought 4 studios and put together another one. They'll have one studio making a State of Decay game, another one making a Forza Horizon game, one making a We Happy Few sequel, one making a Hellblade sequel, and another one making a massive AAA game.

Detroit is a game you should play yourself because of the sheer number of outcomes that are possible. You really can tailor it to yourself which you're not going to get by passively watching someone play it.

Microsoft said no last gen because they were the market-leader.

Sony is saying no now because they're the market leader.

If MS is back on top next gen, they'll say no again because they're the market leader.

MS isn't some altruistic company who's concerned about gamers. They do what they need to in order to make as much money as they can. I guarantee if they're #1 next gen (at least in America), they won't ...

I don't know why anyone would automatically assume that you could carry over progress from one platform to another. The default thinking should be that they're two separate systems.

Agreed. How many realistic feudal Japan games do we have? We have quite a few fantastical ones but none like this. Certainly none that look like classic samurai films. We also don't have many Bushido Blade type combat systems. And since this is Sucker Punch, fluid movement through the environment is a guarantee coupled with skill trees, armor sets, weapons, and what appears to be "meaty" sidequests.

This game is shaping up to be something incredibly special an...

Microsoft did an excellent job advertising all the great games coming to PS4. 10/10!

Sounds like this site wants to be one of the first to crap on a game that's been widely praised and anticipated by the majority of people. Gamers and critics alike. All I've been reading is that the game is super fun and makes the player feel like they're actually Spider-man. The swinging mechanic has been getting rave reviews as well.

I anticipate we'll be getting articles like "The Last of Us II doesn't do anything new" and "Ghost of Ts...

Sony doesn't need to bank on any one game. They've got enough exclusives to soften the blow should a few of them fail to live up to expectations. They aren't going to lose anything if Death Stranding sucks while they have everything to gain if it's great. They're in a no-lose situation.

Plus, their continued support (Kojima is still greatful to Sony and Guerilla) will only foster a better relationship between the two parties. Seeing as how Guerilla gave...

It needs a sequel because people want more and it sold millions for Sony.

If the sequel sucks, who cares? You still have Bloodborne. It's not like suddenly the first game also sucks because there's a bad sequel.

They said they were "aiming" for current gen but judging by the way Witcher 3 runs on PS4/XBO, I wouldn't hold your breath for a decent current gen version.

It's linear but one of the directors said that Ellie didn't have to go into the store. She could have gone somewhere else which means all the awesomeness that happened there was just one option!

Not a good analogy as Max is never the protagonist in the Mad Max movies (outside of the first one). He's always a dude that walks into someone else's story, reluctantly helps, and then leaves.

And look at the balls on that guy comparing Gears to Fury Road of all movies.

2 already only made xbox games exclusively. Netting the We Happy Few devs isn't really impressive at this point in time. The other one is a new studio they opened so no track record. Ninja Theory is the only "big" one and they really aren't that big (at least not yet).

It clearly says WEEK ENDING APRIL 21. That means the numbers are for April 15 - April 21. The game came out on April 20. That means the numbers are for April 20 and April 21. Two days.

The numbers are for the week ending April 21. The game launched April 20. These numbers are for the first 2 days of physical copies. Add in another day and 3 days of digital sales and you get 3.1M.

Sony is a publicly traded company. They can't just blatantly lie about their sales numbers and hope to get away with it.

VGChartz isn't exactly reliable but it would seem people didn't actually read the article and just posted some hot takes. The chart is for the week ending April 21, 2018. God of War launched on April 20. So these guys are saying the game sold 2.26M physical copies in 2 days. Add in another day of physical sales as well as 3 days of digital sales and you probably get 3.1M in 3 days.

Considering 95% of what was shown at the MS conference is also on PS4, plus games like TLoU2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-man, and Death Stranding. I'd say Sony won.

Joel is alive. Probably. Neil was asked about the reference to him in the demo, "your old man..." He started out by saying, "well, Ellie may have a new father-figure at this point in time....JUST KIDDING! It's Joel. He's talking about Joel. It's definitely Joel."

So there you have it. He's alive, at least at that point. He may be dead a year after the church scene though. Church takes place 4 years after the first game. The gameplay secti...
