Wasn't it already announced a while back that it's the fastest selling exclusive in Playstation history, including first party exclusives as well as third party exclusives like San Andreas on PS2?

Edit:
Sorry, I was thinking of best debut month of all time in PS history

A God of War type of game doesn't come around very often. When it does it's great but when it doesn't, it's a waste of 5+ years of resources. EA/Ubisoft/Activision are not going to allow one of their teams to spend that much time on one game that could potentially be a dud. They'd rather put out multiple games that cost less that have a built-in revenue stream.

For example, if Sony were to leave the hardware business and put their games on all other plat...

At minimum Spider-man will do for Sony what God of War did, both in terms of game units sold as well as console units sold. Spider-man is a huge IP that the world is dying for more of with the recent resurgence of the character. It's rated T instead of M and from the looks of things, it'll be rated extremely highly.

You have to save something for later instalments. Besides, the game wasn't about Thor or Odin. It was about Kratos and his son. It told a complete story from beginning to end. They can introduce the rest of the Norse pantheon later.

Plus, they had enough for one game. Tyr, Baldur, Freya, Mimir, Magni, Modi, Thamur, Brok, Sindri, Jormungandr, Valkyries, and I'm probably forgetting a couple.

Legend of Dragoon is PS1.

It boggles my mind why they're starting off the film (series?) with young Drake. That isn't Uncharted. In the games young Drake works because we know adult Drake, those kid sequences don't last very long, and it's fun to see where he came from. An entire movie revolving around young Drake is asinine. If it bombs (and it will) the people outside of gaming will never see the true appeal of Uncharted because they'll never make another one.

Spider-man has the potential to outsell God of War if it scores at least in the 80s.
1. Spider-man has more name recognition than God of War.
2. Rated T instead of M which means a wider audience.
3. People are going nuts for Spider-man ever since Civil War, Homecoming, and Infinity War.

And of course Red Dead 2 will kill everything.

Sounds like she's opening her own studio. She's probably sick of working for a big company by now.

The biggest one on that list is Fallout 76 which I think gets trumped by Sony's deals for Red Dead 2 and Call of Duty. Plus Spider-man is going to be HUGE. Add in Dragon Quest XI as the cherry on top. Then you have Nintendo's big games coming this holiday. And every other game available for Xbox will also be on PS4, minus Forza. MS is going to struggle.

There isn't a problem with the XB hardware or a lack of Japan-centric features. The thing is almost identical to the PS4. What could they possibly add to it that would appeal to Japanese devs more than other devs? Sounds like lip service to me.

No game NEEDS a sequel. No movie, no book, no tv show NEEDS a sequel. We get them because we want to see more of the characters and stories we love. What's wrong with sequels anyway? If it turns out great, that's fantastic for everyone. If it turns out badly, then who cares? We still have the prior instalment.

The Matrix didn't turn into garbage because the sequels weren't good. The original Star Wars movies didn't stop existing because the prequels were...

Nope. Especially if it's primarily streaming based. For it to be a game changer, they'd need to outright buyout EA, Activision, and Ubisoft or at the very least, make exclusivity deals with them for a period of 5+ years (all games exclusive to Google). If all they do is join the party, they're going to be DOA.

Plus, Google has a habit of starting things and not following through.

Your excitement will be back when the game's release date hits.

There was a rumor that Sony was putting together another first party studio. This could be their debut game. Sony owns the Bloodborne IP so they can do whatever they want with it.

2 of them already only made games for Xbox so I don't know what really changes there. The other one is still working on We Happy Few. Not exactly a barn burner. The next is completely new so a mystery there. And Ninja Theory. Not really a "blow your load" scenario in my book.

People are expecting way too much. It'll take a decade before they start pumping out quality titles that stand above a 3rd party game.

I have no idea why MS is so...

It's not even a remote possibility that Crystal Dynamics, owned by Square Enix, would farm out their franchise to a Sony owned Naughty Dog who obviously wouldn't want to make a Tomb Raider game seeing as how they don't even want to make Uncharted games now.

Naughty Dog definitely has a small team exploring new IP ideas whilst the brunt of them work on TLoUII.

All Sony is in danger of is making sure they've manufactured enough PS4s to meet the demand they'll be facing for the next 2 years, what with Spider-man, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, plus all the big 3rd party games dropping like Dragon Quest XI, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc...

Why is Sony going to lose its audience next-gen? Why not now? Isn't this a HUGE SERIOUS PROBLEM right now?

As for E3, what did you expect ...

People who only have an Xbox weren't interested in Japanese games to begin with which is why they chose it. I'm not sure why everyone is trying to sell xbox owners on japanese games. They don't want them. If they did, they would have gotten a PS4 or a Switch.

PS4 caters to a certain market. Xbox caters to a certain market. Nintendo caters to a certain market. What's wrong with that?
