"Now, I’m not saying this is going to happen to The Last of us but in this climate, it seems like most people would rather go for the flashing lights than go for a static dose of realism. It’s no rocket science, mass appeal is real and it does affect games like The Last of us, time and time again."

This is probably the only part of the article that justifies the title. HOWEVER, in light of the events of DayZ and the like, you cannot make a consensus based on "...

Rendering at 1280x1080p. At best it would be 720p native, I REALLY don't see why this cannot be achieved with this system.

It pays to do actual research next time.

Hence the statement:

"Backwards compatability is the easiest to stream and does not need the bandwidth required than an HD era (based) games."

Where is he in the credits other than being the creator? Which position did he take? Is he an executive producer? Director? Writer? Lead designer?

Gaikai would be an excellent move as long as SONY doesn't try something over-ambitious with this. Backwards compatability is the easiest to stream and does not need the bandwidth required than an HD era games. When the market is ready for such bandwidth it can adjust to inflation the better online connection gets per generation.

"Somewhere along the line I think shinji messed up with 5"

No. Shinji had NOTHING to do with RE after 4. PERIOD.

This is not an attack on the review but rather a response to you in general.

Yes, what you mentioned is so prevalent on the gaming media it is almost impossible to determine what defines as "legit" reviews until read thoroughly. Unsurprisingly, it is the reviews that garner the most controversy that are usually observed from top to bottom but likewise a general consensus (positive) can have their reviews compared despite how informative they are.

There somehow isn't any complaints regarding the PS3 port considering Bethesda is in bad state with that particular fanbase by now.

If your perception of the game is exactly what you predicted then there is no point doing the "stealth" sections. He should've just blazed through blasting the bullets per enemy and be done with it.

From what we've seen in the game the gun doesn't exactly help you the way you expect in that game. It only make things a bit more complicated, this is not the same as Biohazard/Silent Hill where the gun is meant to take down obstacles/enemies. Here, you us...

I really hope my experience lines up with the videos or even better. Speaking of which, it seems there seems to have almost no issue on the PS3.

I wish I can form an opinion the way you provided for every game this year. Ok.. so let's see how much I have in my wallet? Hmmm...I really REALLY want to provide an opinion on RE6 but I also want to provide an opinion with all the 2012 games this year. Could you please help me deal with this particular issue?

" Traditional control scheme, 3 person cover mechanics, contextual animations,"

HUH? Aside from the 3 person mechanics, what kind of game does not do what you have described?

No. The problem is that Shinji Mikami's genius is unable to be compensated the moment he left CAPCOM leaving Resident Evil to a bunch of maniacs who have absolutely NO IDEA what to do with the franchise. I even highly doubt they would succeed in formulating the "classic" RE style even if they tried.

Hahaha, like Assassin's Creed.

Probably played it on the easiest difficulty setting and then sped through each level without severe penalties. Because I would REALLY love to see how can they can accomplish something that quick in higher difficulty modes because if they can - it meant the game can easily be exploited and by it's core - broken.

The question is whether or not people are being to hard on RE6 but rather why AREN'T they hard on other gaming franchises as well? Let's see if Dead Space 3 would get the same criticism considering what they're doing is in parralel to the mentality of RE6.

Once again, points rather than the content of review prevails over your judgement, you see a 1/5 score and then instantly judged on that alone showcases why so many are so unaware of the problems these types of games face.

Look at all the negative reviews, they all pretty much nailed down the same common issues: pacing, camera work, QTE, generic combat. Yes, you would think at best that this should at least be a mediocre game when by default it is playable.

It was in development with almost 3 years with 600 people working on it. How many more resources before it can live to it's wild expectations? Face it, Resident Evil is Mikami's baby, nobody but him is able to take the franchise to the next level. It was already on life support the moment they try to cash in the RE4 phenomena.

"To all our old Resident Evil fans, new Resident Evil fan and lapsed Resident Evil fans, this is a horror game that all of you can enjoy. Please check it out. You won’t be disappointed."

OH. MY. GOD. The denial here is just so pathetic he should've just ended the interview with "Hope you enjoy it".
