Revised models meant more cost-saving productions in the long run. How come you don't know this?
Ironically, I have read the Bible and have seen NOTHING what you have described that has anything to do with the "Devil". Heck, the devil's real terminology is "adversary" in which case describes everyone here at N4G.
What happens when there are no exclusives? HOW and WHAT will be the differentiating factor to choose between xbox360 or PS3? This is the same kind of situation what brought the original crash in the 80's. Even the Non-Atari games could play the Atari games thanks to port cartridges and the like.
Without exclusives consoles would have to battle it out trying to focus giving NON-gaming related services in order to stand out from the other competition. Because both co...
Why not? People tend to forget that while FROM did greenlight the PC port thanks to online petition, there was ALSO the 1080p/60fps non GFWL outcry as well. It's simply incompetence on their part. I would bet you it wouldn't cost that much to outsource to any PC dev studio to do the porting if what a few modders could do having no actual dev tools in a few months.
The fact that slowly and slowly the game is shaping out to be what the PC community originally wanted f...
Sony also published Heavy Rain. But you won't see Heavy Rain: The Beta Chronicles on the 360 in the near future now would you?
I really cannot comprehend why you would rush to Bethesda's defense when time AND time again they have released poor ports on the PS3. Had this been their FIRST game, then you may have a proper argument, but after Oblvion and Fallout 3, you would've think that a bigger ambition would've easily determine whether or not they can design on the PS3. It's their fault, SONY did not put a gun on their head, they wanted to sell their broken excuse of the game and you expect the PS3 ...
If you would bother reading my comment thoroughly and not made this piss poor of a rebuttal you just brought up you would realized that I have already addressed 2 points NOT ONE. But because you are clearly blind to see, re-read this part:
"Unless they're willing to price it at $499 or above then we know how far the "jump" in tech would be."
Yes, READ IT ALOUD 10X before you start going off before you start losing your sh*t. Besides,...
Doesn't matter if phones could render the best graphics in the industry, as long as the controls are "limited", it will never fly off to the core gaming crowd.
Now that we know how much the console cost, it really gives us a more accurate view to what the xbox/psx consoles would be like. If they release it at $399, we can DEFINITELY be sure it won't have a huge gap above the Wii-U. Unless they're willing to price it at $499 or above then we know how far the "jump" in tech would be. So let's not kid ourselves here and the Wii-U may potentially be in the best kind of position in the next-gen market.
DaThreats made a good point. Bayonetta 2 on the Wii-U may quell the "it is as powerful as PS3/360" rumors everybody is so hell bent believing despite the evidence to the contrary. The real reason why people are so upset because it is the one release game that would make people consider the Wii-U to be a contender for "next-gen".
As DaThreats mentioned, it has already a superior GPU with 1GB RAM, this is a far cry that puts this console over the edge amo...
Metal Gear started on the MSX. Get your facts straight. The NES "ports" were spinoffs that has nothing to do with Kojima.
Maybe Bayonetta 2 had that extra "kick" that would make current gen consoles unable to run at the standard 60fps. Not to mention P* may have some unique features with the gamepad.
It's funny that you should say that. After seeing some of the so-called "next-gen" games, they're nothing more than just suped-up HD versions of what we've seen this generation. At least with Nintendo you can definitely see a variety in how games are played not the same cookie-cutter auto-based gameplay we've seen this gen.
They already said that JSR HD is everything the original was in HD, so why are they judging the game mechanics for this generation? All I want to know in the port is whether or not it is fucked up (Silent Hill HD) or remastered properly (GOW HD).
I don't see why not. What makes Valve, VALVE is Gabe Newell and his co-workers. Trying to make a by-paper style business model won't get you there. I've heard stories of Gabe sending his employee's parents to get better health care is a GREAT example how the culture of the workplace is. If you act like douchebags in the EA and Ubisoft *cough ZY *COUGH NGA industry, then no matter how rich and big your business are, you will NEVER be like Valve. Here's hoping...
What's not to understand? What I'm quoting in the concern that MS may implement that kind fee OUTSIDE XBL and onto windows 8. Nobody is saying that W8 will implement that but IF they did, then the argument is valid. It really is that simple and the more awareness the community has may actually prompt MS to actually be more wary in their business decisions.
Please read the damn article. But since you didn't obviously bother here goes the section that justifies his argument:
"For its Xbox business, Microsoft insists on screening all game updates and charges developers tens of thousands of dollars for certification. Its PC operating systems, however, freely allow updates without interference. Newell is concerned that Windows 8 will emulate the Xbox policy, prompting him to brand the new operating system "a catastro...
Likewise, you have to understand that gaming console release always have PACKS of customers lining up to get first dibs. The fact that Bioshock Infinite is putting more emphasis in it (not to mention if done correctly) it becomes a more viable option to those new Wii-U owners who have very little choice in early release of games.
Because there are those that still hold on to COD, Battlefield and Assassin's Creed to be the top tier echelons of the current gaming industry both in creative AND innovative standpoint.
It seems to be that way. They're really trying to win back the faith from the PC fans.
