Well, ever since the director has moved to sledgehammer at activision, the game game went further and further away from it's roots.

It's comments like your make me really wish that Halo added an ADS mechanic JUST to see how much people really do like CHANGE.

Any gameplay trailer?

At this point j-blaze is second coming of GROL who's purpose is to instigate flame wars in PS3 exclusives threads with much vitriol and ignorance as possible. The only thing we can do is to mark him for trolling whenever we see such remarks.

LOL, PC? After that horrible excuse of a direct port which required a neogaffer to fix?

What on earth are you talking about? They're only claiming that there gameplay is a lot more emergent than normal corridor "shooters". Whether you find this overhyped or not does not change that fact.

At this point the J&D should just be released on the Vita with a different company (Sony Bend/Sanzaru). ND has gone above and beyond the tiers of it's previous franchises that falling back may actually hurt their potential. Not to mention the market is becoming more "mature" oriented which is why you are seeing games like TLOU being made instead.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love another J&D but the budget and risk to rebuild the franchise for futur...

No. CAPCOM is simply run by knuckleheads that is plaguing the game industry that believes in the "I-don't-cater-to-the -fans-but-I-like-the-bigger-mar ket" approach. In other words, the same idiots that believes the smartphone industry would kill the core gaming industry.

It's a known fact that "open-world" games are extremely costly not to mention the amount of time to build one. If we were to go by ND standards, it would be within the range of GTA-type budget which requires about 5 - 7 million sales to break even.

Of course you wouldn't know anything about game development j-blaze. ANY developer can use 100% resources - using them efficiently is a different story.

Here's the difference: The steambox is supposedly made of components from on-the-shelf materials which means any 3rd party manufacturer like Razer can easily create their own in sync with Valve's license. This is brilliant in a sense since the risk is lower and those who are not inclined to be interested in "exclusives" can get most of the 3rd party games available easily. Valve's ONLY market is STEAM, the steambox is merely a conduit to have more people not willing t...

SONY has a lot. However, they NEED to make money. Hence the quality may not be up to the standard to the likes of ND or SSM. Not every exclusive has a AAA backing behind it. Sadly, these games may take the hit the most and suffer due to the disparaging quality difference to 3rd party studios but SONY's very own exclusives.

Best bet is that they have to make games for the Vita since it is less competitive and does not take a lot of resources to develop for. OR, they ha...

Observe as Crysis 3 would resort to sub-hd and low frame rate to compensate. Does he really think we can get impressed if his game runs like dogshit even if he pushes the most "advanced" tech on consoles? At least Gears/Halo/Uncharted run WELL!

This worries me because this kind of thing is exactly why we get the Heavy Rain spoiler fiasco.

HA!

I told you guys the PS3 version had a lower resolution before!

4582d ago 5 agree16 disagreeView comment

You know, I'm actually surprised they maintained a 60fps with a very sharp image quality on the Vita. That fluidity is so uncanny that it's incredible viewing it in such a small screen. One can only imagine if SONY decided to push HQ image quality and 60fps as opposed to competing with PS3's graphics, the Vita would have a better chance appealing to the HC gamers.

And all that manpower could be utilized in contributing to other IP. Notice how R* is closing it's other branches other than North? If the GTA series start to stagnate, they can no longer support themeselves.

So? Water elements here are like the "boss" battles in Deus Ex: HR - unfocused.

DLC incoming? Square-Enix really never learns.

The gap between graphical potential for the PC this gen is so far ahead it puts the last generation comparison to shame. While the last gen was able to get the "best" at that time, the equivalent now would be mid-high end this gen AND THAT is if they plan to charge $599 like last time.

IN order to match up from last gen's inflation, (not to mention modify the components for a smaller case), would at least be $799, and that is being generous. By the time the so...

That while they may seem "identical", NOTICE that the PS3 has a few lines off in their resolution below the border. I predict Digital Foundry will note that the PS3 is running at a lower resolution (if that is what is really being rendered on screen) regardless - smaller res is just a few lines anyway.
