How to perform Quick Melee in The finals
Depending on the platform you are using to play The Finals, the default key for a Quick Melee is:
- PC – V
- Xbox – Right Stick Button
- PS5 – R3
This can be changed in the Settings menu to a different key or button. Pressing the designated key will make your character perform a swift strike with their elbow. The hit does a small amount of damage, and this attack can be performed with any Build.
Most importantly, to do this attack you do not need to have any weapon equipped. Using the Quick Melee attack is perfect for finishing opponents that are low on health, and useful when you run out of bullets. Additionally, this attack can be used to open doors or windows quickly, making the map traversal easier.
Moreover, using Quick Melee in combination with the Light Build using a sword can make quick work of your enemies, especially when used to follow up after a charge attack. This will eliminate another Light Build opponent instantly.
How to do Close Combat Daily Contract
The Finals has many daily contracts that revolve around eliminating enemies using melee. This is a great way to earn easy experience, but some of the contracts may be misleading. To do Close Combat Daily Contract, you must eliminate one opponent using Quick Melee. The important aspect in this case is to use Quick Melee to finish your opponent, not a melee weapon hit. With that, you will be able to complete the contract successfully and gain that precious XP.
