With the release of Season 3, every build in the game got a new weapon, but only Heavy Build got a new Specialization – Winch Claw. This is the first number four specialization for any Build in the game, and what a specialization it is. Giving the option to pull enemies and objects towards a player is a new concept in The Finals. So let’s take a look at how best to use Winch Claw and what can be done with it.
The Best Ways to Use Winch Claw in The Finals
Using the Winch Claw specialization allows Heavies to pull enemies and objects towards them. This shortly stuns enemies that are pulled, making them an easy target for melee weapons or a Flamethrower. Alternatively, a Winch Claw can be used to pull arena carriables closer, making the creation of Nukes a little easier.
The Best Build for Winch Claw in The Finals
Weapon: Sledgehammer or Spear
Specialization: Winch Claw
Gadgets: Dome Shield, Explosive Mine, RPG-7
As mentioned before, Winch Claw is best used in combination with a melee weapon. Luckily, Heavy Build has two great ones. You can go with a slower but more damaging Sledgehammer or a faster option with more range – Spear. Whichever is picked, both go great with the pull/stun capability of the Winch Claw.
Because this Build is melee-focused, you should take RPG-7 and Explosive Mine. RPG-7 provides a great destructive tool and will down a Light Build in a single shot. On the other hand, Explosive Mines are good for defense and you can create great Nukes with them. Moreover, this will greatly add to the ranged damage potential that this Build lacks. Simply use the Winch Claw to pull arena carriables, drop an explosive mine on it, and throw them at enemies.
Lastly, taking the Dome Shield is always a good option for Heavy Build. This gadget is a great source of cover and can be used both offensively and defensively. Once deployed, Dome Shield will stop incoming fire for a time, giving players an option to revive teammates, steal Cashout points, or use the Winch Claw to pull enemies.
