Ubisoft’s pirate game has been officially released so is it time for the first Season? Read on to see the start date and features for Year 1 Season 1 of Skull and Bones.
Skull and Bones is Ubisoft’s long-awaited action-adventure pirate game. You have everything you want to make your pirate dreams come true. There’s plundering of merchant vessels and enemy outposts, hunting for sea monsters and ghost ships. Or you can just chill on your ship and enjoy the game’s breathtaking visuals. And since Skull and Bones is a live game, there are going to be updates and new content every now and then, in the form of Seasons. And it is time for the first Season to reveal. So, let’s see what’s the start date and what are the features of Skull and Bones Year 1 Season 1.
Skull and Bones Year 1 Season 1 Start Date
The official start date for Year 1 Season 1 of Skull and Bones is Tuesday, February 27. It is titled Raging Tides, and this has been confirmed on a live developer stream on February 20. Rumor has it that each Season will last for about 12 weeks, so you have that much time to enjoy some new content.
- Engage in thrilling naval battles and equip a multitude of powerful weapons as you risk it all for the biggest loot.
- Sail the lawless seas solo, or team up with two friends or other players to partake in shareable contracts and rewards.
- Face cutthroat pirate hunters, deadly sea monsters, unpredictable weather, dangerous rogue waves, supernatural threats, and more as you explore a vast open world.
- Craft and sail up to 10 different ships at launch, each with unique perks to match your own personal playstyle.
- Grow your infamy and unlock resources and opportunities to get riskier contracts and upgrade your equipment.
Skull and Bones Raging Tides Features
Season 1 of Skull and Bones is coming with a bunch of new content for all you pirates. Each Season you will face a new pirate lord. On that note, the main feature of this new season is Phillipe La Peste, leader of a pirate gang carrying an unnatural plague. He leads his fleet of Plaguebringer and Plaguehunter ships atop his own ship Le Potence, equipped with Plague Bombs and similar non-hygienic weapons.
Next, there will be a special world event. A hunt for a dangerous sea monster called Kingpin Thylosaurus. Faction Covoys are also coming, representing a group of merchant ships laden with loot, but protected by powerful warships.
There will also be new opportunities for Takeovers and Legendary Heists. A new free Smuggler’s Pass will be available, with three branches, each dealing with a different aspect: Shipmaster, Quartermaster, and Gunnermaster. And to top it all off, you can get a Premium Smuggler’s Pass, to get some gold and exclusive cosmetics.
