It’s almost here! The Early Access to Path of Exile 2 starts on December 6, but you can get ready and preload the game ahead of time. Fans of the first installment will be able to enjoy the sequel very soon!
Early Acces to Path of Exile 2 Starts Soon
For those of you in the unknown, Path of Exile 2 is an action RPG co-op. This game is free to play. It is developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. This sequel is set years following the original game. Players worldwide can’t wait to return to Wraeclast and finally end the ever-spreading corruption.
The official description states: “The dead are rising, monsters are mutating, and madness is spreading from this new Seed of Corruption. On the way, you’ll face fearsome monsters, meet strange characters, forge unlikely bonds, and uncover lost civilisations. Explore the dark forests of Ogham. Traverse the barren plains of the Vastiri Desert, and delve into the jungle ruins of Utzaal, an ancient Vaal city”
The Early Access will feature six character classes (the Warrior, the Sorceress, the Ranger, the Monk, the Mercenary, and the Witch). It will also have a brand-new Skill Gem System and the Passive Skill Tree (with Dual Specialization!).
How and When Can You Preload the Game?
Now, in our humble opinion, there is nothing better than having everything set up for when the game drops. So, we were thrilled to learn that you can preload Path of Exile 2 and then start the Early Access without any hustle.
The developers shared everything you need to know about getting ready for the Early Access phase. The devs noted: “With Path of Exile 2 launching into Early Access soon, we’ve had a lot of players asking for pre-download to ensure they can play on launch. To accommodate this, we’ll be making the standalone PC client available for download at 5pm on Thursday, December 5th (PST), or Dec 06, 2024 1:00 AM (GMT) in your local time. Please note that when patching begins for Path of Exile 2 Early Access you may also have a few remaining files that you’ll need to update as well”.
The Early Access launches on December 6, at 11 am (PST). Even if you preload the game, there will probably be a small update when the game goes live. Also, note that preload is already available for PlayStation 5 if you’ve purchased one of the Founder’s packs.
Honestly, we are hyped up! There are so many great things to come! Path of Exile 2 is just a wonderful way to start the season of new releases. Enjoy!
