Season 2 came out yesterday, and boy oh boy was it a rocky start. We were all hyped to check out the new content, like Keelan, Fellows, new Modules, and new Void Vessel missions, get some awesome rewards via those new events, and even see some discounts in the shop for the first time. However, the crowd of players wanting to log in was so massive that it basically crashed the servers, and Nexon had to do emergency maintenance. Even so, players reported some mission bugs, and just a few hours ago, Nexon released a 1.2.0b hotfix for the First Descendant, to fix some of them.
The First Descendant 1.2.0b Hotfix Patch Notes
Players were unable to complete some quests after the 1.2.0 Update, so this hotfix predominantly deals with issues like that.
“Greetings, Descendants.
We are here to inform you about the details of the 1.2.0b hotfix for The First Descendant.
In addition to the patch contents, we are currently preparing fixes for identified issues. Hotfix 1.2.0c is scheduled for December 7 (Saturday). Details will be provided through an announcement at the time of the patch.”
Patch Details
– Fixed an issue where the mission “Captured Base” in Vespers could not be cleared.
– Resolved an issue where “Cutlasser” monsters in the “Captured Base” mission in Vespers failed to recognize Descendants.
– Fixed an intermittent issue where the mission “Arche Motion Sensor” in Echo Swamp could not be cleared.
– Addressed an issue where summoned monsters were occasionally invisible during the Void Vessel progression.
– Fixed an issue where some monsters roaming in the Kingston field failed to recognize Descendants.
– Fixed an issue where the Inversion Reinforcement would not activate even after completing the “Anais’ Call” quest.
– [English] [European Languages] Corrected a naming error in the shop for “Starter Boost Package”.
Players Still Report Errors
Even after the hotfix, players still have some issues with other parts of the game. Predominantly, we see players reporting that our favorite vendor, ETA-0, is not working properly. “The ETA-0 shop isn’t working.” said gajinkei, “ETA-0 shop NOT WORKING” added miropereirab, and ‘ETA-0 BUGGED 1. items are not what you said they where 2. when trying to purchase it simply cancels the transaction no matter the input” said lordmorgoth84.
But that’s not all. Some players report that Esimo’s Premium skin is causing some serious framerate drops. We also noticed that the audio is a bit messed up in the cutscenes, where you only hear the characters but not any sound effects.
Nexon is quick to respond and we will get another hotfix very soon. The Season is only a day old after all.
