By the looks of it, the upcoming year is extremely promising when it comes to new releases. Players will get to enjoy so many great titles and the hype is already palpable. PlayStation users are so pumped that they are already making lists of the best games set to drop in 2025.
PlayStation Users Are Excited for All the New Releases
There are so many wonderful games coming out next year. So, we’ve made a list of the ones most often mentioned online. Without further ado, these are the top 5 most raved-about games coming in 2025.
5. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The sequel to the 2019 hit game. Death Stranding 2 is developed by Kojima Productions and published by SONY. It’s said that Kojima started writing the sequel back in 2019, but decided to re-work it following the COVID-19 pandemic. The release date is still unknown.
Players are extremely excited to see what’s to come. Branquignol noted: “The first one was my first PS5 game. I loved it. The first game I tried on an OLED screen as well. It was an experience”.
4. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Another sequel on the list. It was developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver. This time, the protagonist, blacksmith Henry from Skalitz, will face the Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund. This action RPG is set to drop on February 11, 2025.
One player, chodejustice, stated: “Catching KCD on Steam for 1.99 was the best gaming purchase I’ve ever made. Thank God I only have to wait a few months between 1 & 2”.
3. Monster Hunter Wilds. This action role-playing video game is developed and published by Capcom. It’s a successor of Monster Hunter: World. Every player will assume the role of a Hunter who travels to the Forbidden Lands. You’ll get to explore several open-world biomes. The game is set to be released on February 28, 2025.
One Redditor, realhenrymccoy, raved: “So excited for this. Monster Hunter: World is top 5 all-time games for me. But Rise just didn’t do it for me so it’s been a long wait for a proper follow-up”.
Cream of the Crop – Top Two Games Coming to PlayStation
Only two more games to go and the PlayStation community simply cannot wait for 2025 for these ones! Can you guess which games are the most praised and hyped? You probably can, as players have been waiting for them for a while.
2. Asassin’s Creed: Shadows. Yes! Another Assasin’s Creed is coming, developed and published by Ubisoft. This one is quite controversial, as many players pointed out it reminded them of Ghost of Tsushima. It’s set in 16th-century Japan. The release date is February 14, 2025.
Hundreds of players raved about this game. Several players noted that they hadn’t been this excited for an Assasin’s Creed game in quite a while. Hopefully, it will deliver and players will get to enjoy this promising game.
1. GTA VI. The obvious first place on every list of upcoming games. Currently in development by Rockstar Games. This open-world game is set in the fictional state of Leonida. The story will follow a duo of criminals, Lucia and her partner. It’s set to drop in Q3/Q4, 2025.
AnEyeshOt said: “Even if you’re not looking forward to this one the most, you know this behemoth is gonna come crashing down heavy and take over the world. It’s isolated miles away from all the others no doubt. I’m more looking forward to metal gear but I’m highly intrigued as to what this is gonna be”.
