Recent Leaks Put the Helldivers 2 Players in a Dilemma Over the Imber Defense Campaign

All devoted Helldivers know that some decisions are quite easy, while others might be quite impossible. As you know, the latest Major Order sent Helldivers to fight with the bots. One of the tasks is to hold Imber when the MO expires. What’s happening with the Imber Defense Campaign in Helldivers 2, and what do the recent leaks have to do with it?

What Connects Recent Leaks and the Imber Defense Campaign?

At the time of writing this article, it’s been around two and a half days since the MO has started. The players are seemingly quite motivated to complete this Major Order, as the previous bot MO failed and caused the player base to lose out on the Orbital Napalm Barrage. Unfortunately, even though the players gave their best over the weekend, they are at 16,7% with 3 days and 2 hours to go.

Currently, there is a Defense Mission on Imber. The players are divided on whether they should try their best, or just let the bots have Imber. Why would they ever suggest such an undemocratic thing? Well, apparently, some players connected leaks that showcased Iron Fleet Automatons with the Helldivers 2 lore. According to the lore, Imber is rich in titanium, which could be what the bots need for their shiny new models.

Mc-Crunchips noted: “New models for the bots got put in the files (nicknamed the Iron Legion) last week. This Major Order is about preventing the bots from getting titanium. So, probably if we fail the new Iron Legion will start appearing”.

Most Helldivers Advise Not to Dive on Imber

Many Helldivers 2 players don’t think the leaks have anything to do with the Imber Defense Campaign. But, even the most devoted MO divers don’t think the players should fight on Imber. This planet should be defended, but there is another way to do it.

Ok-Difficulty1726 stated: “We shouldn’t deploy to Imber. Helldivers should focus on capturing the source planet of the attack, as it’s on 50% liberation. We could kill 2 birds with one stone, but if we split our forces, we will lose both”.

The MO divers are calling the players to coordinate and go to Gaellivare. These players are more versed in the game dynamics, therefore they know that liberating Gaellivare would also clear Imber. Many of them admitted how frustrating it was to watch other players dive on Imber.

Jagick said: “I can’t believe 7k+ people are diving on Imber with 42 hours remaining on it when Gaellivare, the attacking planet is sitting at 49% liberated. We could take both planets and get credit for a successful defense”.

Whichever side you pick, the majority of the players will tell you not to dive on Imber. If you decide to join the MO crew, do so on Gaellivare. If you choose to sit this one out, or you are just overwhelmed by the recent issues, take a break. According to the 60-day roadmap, there will be some very cool changes coming on September 17. We’re sure we’ll see you around then. For liberty and Super Earth.
