During your adventures in The First Descendant, you will pick up a lot of items. There are your regular crafting materials, Gold, Kuiper, weapons, Modules, and more. Not to mention the rewards you get when you complete a mission. On that note, if it happens that you don’t have space in your inventory to accommodate those rewards, they will be sent to the Lost and Found. It is a special “compartment” found in your Mailbox, where all the unclaimed rewards go. However, some players advocate that the Lost and Found should be further improved.
The Lost and Found Should Also House Ultra-Rare Items That You Missed
As it stands, the items in your Lost and Found are only the rewards that you didn’t have room for in your inventory. But, one player, named mi5jason on Reddit, pointed out that this mechanic could be used for more than just rewards. In their post, they share that they weren’t been able to pick up a Transcendent Mod (the rarest and most valuable of them all) they found, and since there is no option to dismantle Modules during a mission (like you can with excess weapons, Reactors, etc), and their Module inventory was full, all they can do is leave it behind. As you’d expect, it left them thoroughly unhappy. They finish by saying that the Lost and Found should also take all the Ultimate and Transcendent Mods that you missed or weren’t able to pick up.
The majority agrees, with DavidofBreath saying: “…It should include drops on the floor, if only because stuff can fall into a pit becoming unreachable.”, and Phantom-Phreak adding: “calling yourself the “next generation” of games that solved this a decade ago and still having the problem is wild.”
However, some players point out that this would lead to a cluttered Lost and Found, with all the items you purposefully left behind. But this could be solved by applying a filter, to only pick up gold and red Mods, just like the OP said.
Remember to Keep Your Mod Inventory Clean
With all the discussion about Lost and Found, a lot of players point out that would not have happened if the players made some room in their Mod inventories. “Anybody who is actually hitting the module cap is doing something very wrong. But regardless, lost and found should include floor loot as well” said Kozak170. Others point out the fact that you can keep up to 1500 Mods and that reaching the limit is the problem here. “I mean it does suck and the design could be better but if you manage to farm 1500 mods without clearing them that’s kind of on you as well…” stated MediumAnteater775.
While keeping an eye on the inventory space is the players’ responsibility, some failsafe mechanic, at least for those Transcendent Mods, should be implemented. You can dismantle everything else during the Mission, so why wouldn’t you be able to do the same for Modules? They follow the same inventory rules as all other loot, except for that. Since Nexon does listen to its community pretty much, we hope they will do something about this in future updates.
