It’s been a while since something new dropped in Helldivers 2. If the players complete the latest Major Order, they’ll get Gas Mines. Unfortunately, many players were disappointed by this. This community wants something bigger. Something new and challenging. As you know, the players have been asking for the elusive third faction to join for a long while. There are many fan-made theories about the possible arrival of the Illuminate in Helldivers 2, however, recent leaks indicate that one theory might be right.
Leaks Show Off the Illuminate Stargate Nexus
One prolific leaker, IronS1ghts shared their latest findings on the Illuminate. They noted: “(Leak) Illuminate Stargate Nexus. The Stargate Nexus is a device used by the Illuminate, that allows them to “teleport closer to Super Earth”. The nexus is located on the Illuminate homeworld”.
This leaker added: “This may have been scrapped, but the overall concept is still seen in subtitle files”. We don’t want to raise anyone’s hopes up, but doesn’t this sound kinda familiar? If you’ve been following leaks, you might have already realized what we are talking about.
How Does the Illuminate Stargate Nexus Fit Into Their Arrival to Helldivers 2?
Several weeks ago IronS1gths shared some leaks that made the Helldivers 2 players speculate that the leaker was talking about the arrival of the Illuminate. This leaker revealed that a huge Special Event was coming.
Apparently, an “illuminated” blue planet would crash into Klen Dahth II. The Stargate Nexus might be the explanation for how the planet appeared. At least that’s what the players believe. Truth be told, it makes sense to us.
One player, Dashie stated: “I think it could be tied with the Klen Dahth II event, apparently this is the reason why the ringed planet appears”. Another player, TheBest1972, explained: “Imagine the planet that you leaked a couple of days ago is a starting ground event for the Illuminate, in which we’ll need to defend the planet and close the Warpgate and proceed to attack their Frontlines. So from time to time, we need to go back and defend this same gate”.
Now, that would be a sight to behold. Still, remember, these are leaks, not official information, so keep that in mind. As cool as this would be, there is a chance that it won’t happen, or it won’t happen anytime soon. So, try to enjoy everything that the game has to offer now. For Liberty and Super Earth.
