If there is one thing you can always count on, it’s the community. And, boy, does Helldivers 2 have an amazing community. Sure, the Illuminate are lurking, there haven’t been any updates for a month, and Helldivers 2 players just suffered a Major Order defeat. However, this community doesn’t give up that easily.
Helldivers 2 Players Failed the Major Order
Joel issued an in-game briefing to mark Helldivers’ failure. The briefing reflected on the fact that players slayed 150 million bots in a matter of days. Still, this wasn’t enough to accomplish the other objective – liberating Choohe.
It stated: “The planet proved too entrenched in Automaton space to be easily torn from the corrupt claws of the mechanical menace. Whatever secrets about the Jet Brigade it may have contained have likely been scrubbed from servers and databases by now”.
Thankfully, an incredible amount of memory drives was collected from the bots. Super Earth scientists are studying them, so Helldivers should have more information soon. The briefing concluded: “No matter how long it may take, we must find the Jet Brigade factories. Only when they are unable to rebuild will our citizens be able to sleep soundly at night, with their safety pre-emptively defended”.
Helldivers Laugh in the Face of Defeat
We are happy to report that Helldivers 2 players didn’t accept this Major Order defeat. Even though they have technically failed, thousands of players are still valiantly fighting on Choohe. Not only is it important that they liberate this planet, but it might also grant them access to Cyberstan.
At the time of writing this article, almost 8000 Helldivers are on Choohe, and so is the DSS. The planet is 96,3% liberated, and the players are making slow but steady progress towards their goal.
However, it seems that the Helldivers’ biggest problem is the decay rate. According to third-party apps, the decay rate is still at 2,5%, even though Helldivers have liberated almost the entire planet. Many players expressed their dissatisfaction over this matter.
Soul_Phoenix_42 noted: “Decay rate should always go down a little once we break 90%. We keep having moments like this where we are so close to finishing a planet but then a new MO starts and everyone f**ks off elsewhere leaving just a couple thousand still trying to finish it for democracy”.
The new Major Order hasn’t dropped yet, and we sincerely hope it won’t in the next several hours, so the players will be able to close the deal on Choohe. So, let’s do our best and join them, if the numbers get high enough, Choohe will be ours. And then, who knows, Cyberstan? For Liberty and Super Earth.
