After the players failed the previous Major Order, they stood their ground and valiantly liberated Choohe. Keeping up with the challenging trends, the devs issued a new MO. This time, Helldivers 2 players will have to liberate three planets in order to complete the Major Order, but a reward will be waiting for them at the end – a brand new Stratagem.
Helldivers Will Get a New Stratagem if They Complete the MO
On December 5, Baskinator, the Community Manager, shared some more details about both the previous and the current MO in a High Command Brief on Discord. She commended the Heroic Helldivers who were fighting on Choohe. The CM also noted: “While those efforts are ongoing, so too is the analysis of the data to track down the factories responsible for producing the Jet Brigade. More on this is sure to follow”.
As for the current Major Order, well, it’ll be tough to complete. Baskinator shared: “For now, an alarming and unexplained uptick in colonial labor disappearing is causing immense disruption to our planned mass production of new MD-8 Gas Mines. The Helldivers are ordered to reclaim salt-rich planets from our enemies. If all planets can be secured within the specified timeframe, the MD-8 Gas Mines will be made available for immediate requisition in all Super Destroyers”.
The current Major Order gives the players five days to liberate three planets, Esker, Blistica, and Mintoria. Players will be fighting on both fronts this time. Esker is crawling with bugs, while the bots rule Blistica and Mintoria.
The Current Major Order is Quite a Challenge for Helldivers 2 Players
Well, Helldivers 2 players doubt they’ll complete the Major Order, even though they’d get a new Stratagem as a reward. The thought of liberating three planets is a lot, especially since the players first need to get to them.
At the time of writing this article, there hasn’t been any progress on any of the three planets. According to some third-party apps, even though around 19k divers are online, most of them are on a defense mission on Terek. Around 2.5k players are on Zzaniah Prime (en route to Mintoria), and around 1k players are on Bore Rock.
One player, Ionicfold, stated: “Unless they intend on reducing the decay rates, I don’t understand what they expect here, or what the point is, in giving us an incompletable MO”. This player counted six planets that needed to be cleared during the MO. The planets are Terrek (the defense mission), Zzaniah Prime, Bore Rock, Esker, Blistica, and Mintoria.
So, let’s get to it! It will be challenging, for sure, but we are sure that we can deliver. Also, the second-ever community event, Operation Dark Echo starts on December 6. Hopefully, it will be adjacent to the MO, so we don’t have to choose in which to participate. For Liberty and Super Earth.
