The Malevelon Creek has achieved a legendary status in Helldivers 2. Countless Helldivers have given their lives in the defence of this planet. Now it is finally retaken, and to honor the sacrifice of so many Helldivers, the President of Super Earth has issued that April 3 will be the official Malevelon Creek Memorial Day, marking this momentous occasion in Helldivers 2 and giving out rewards.
Events Leading to Memorial Day
Operation Swift Disassembly is in full wake and Helldivers from everywhere join the fight on the Automaton-controlled Sectors. When the planet of Malevelon Creek became a target, thousands of Helldivers were gearing up to avenge their fallen brethren. They were so concentrated on recapturing it, that they even ignored some Major Orders, that required attention on other planets in the Sector. The attention given to Malevelon Creek has caused the second phase of the Operation to fail, which required another planet to be Liberated.
But, the operation is still ongoing, and Malevelon Creek has finally been liberated. This planet, which has achieved legendary status, is finally in the hands of Super Earth.
Malevelon Creek Memorial Day Rewards in Helldivers 2
To honor the effort and sacrifice of so many Helldivers, the President of Super Earth (which is to say the devs) has declared April 3 as Malevelon Creek Memorial Day. As a result, every Helldiver will receive a special commemorative cape. This will happen during the current week, so be patient and your Fallen Hero’s Vengeance cape will be delivered to you.
It is refreshing to see the developers take note and honor the efforts of their players. This will only serve to inspire more and more Helldivers to give their all in the coming battles.
