But to build those villages, you need resources. To get resources, you need tools, and higher-quality tools need higher-quality materials. One of the materials that helps you with this is Obsidian, so read on to see how to get it in LEGO Fortnite.
How to Get Obsidian in LEGO Fortnite?
To find Obsidian, just follow these steps. First, go to the Dry Valley Biome, and look for Lava Caves. Be sure to prepare for overheating, with Snowberry Shakes or a Cool-headed Charm. Once inside, explore around until you find some purple-black glass-like rock clusters, either in the ground or on the walls. Whack them with a Rare (Blue) Pickaxe or better, and once destroyed they will drop some Obsidian.
How to Craft a Rare Pickaxe?
To craft a Rare Pickaxe, you first need a Rare Crafting Bench. You’ll need 12 Knotroot Rods, 15 Marble Slabs, six Sand Claws, and three Sand Shells for that. As for the Pickaxe, you need three Flexwood Rods and three Sand Claws.

What is Obsidian For?
Obsidian is needed to get Obsidian Slabs from a Stone Breaker. To craft a Stone Breaker, you need 20 Knotroot and 35 Marble. Slabs are, in turn, used to craft a Metal Smelter. You need 35 Obsidian Slabs, 15 Brightcores, and three Blast Cores to make one. Metal Smelter is used to melt Copper into Copper Bars, needed for tools, weapons, and other buildings.
