How Long is a Day in LEGO Fortnite? Explained

LEGO Fortnite characters run from skeleton enemies at night

If you’re trying to make strides in LEGO Fortnite, then you’re probably wondering: How long is a day? We’ll detail how time passes in the new game mode to help you make the most of each day.

In LEGO Fortnite, you’re tasked with starting a village from scratch by collecting materials and building new items. You’ll want to make each day count towards your progress, as refining resources and curating a town can be time-consuming work. That said, the night brings with it the added challenge of defending yourself against nocturnal enemies, like skeletons. This means you’ll need to bide your time as you work to accomplish tasks until daybreak. Here’s how long each day and night lasts in the new LEGO-style game mode.

How Long is the Day and Night Cycle in LEGO Fortnite?

The day and night cycle is not rooted in real-time, so an entire day will pass within about 30 minutes. This means daylight hours span roughly 15 minutes, followed by another 15 minutes of moonlit skies.

Depending on how you look at it, this time mechanic is both a blessing and a curse. While you won’t need to wait long for resources to regenerate the next day, you’ll need to tread lightly while it’s dark. This is because mobs appear more frequently during the night, requiring you to stave off enemies while attempting to make strides in your village. Needless to say, some players might want to skip nighttime altogether. However, this option seems to be off the table.

Can You Skip Night in LEGO Fortnite?

Unfortunately, there’s no way to skip the night phase in. Moreover, it seems that you can’t pass the time at all — at least, by any means other than playing through the game mode. With that being said, you’ll need to brave the many mobs that arise during the night to make it through to the next day.
