Fortnite is not a demanding game, but being an online game means that a lot of factors contribute to the overall smoothness. The best settings we found are:

  • Window mode: Fullscreen
  • Resolution: Set to your monitor’s native resolution
  • VSync: Off
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Frame rate limit: Unlimited, 
  • Rendering mode: DirectX 11 or 12
  • Anti-aliasing and super resolution: NVIDIA DLSS
  • 3D resolution: 100%
  • View distance: Far
  • Shadows: Medium
  • Global Illumination: Off or Lumen High
  • Reflections: Lumen High
  • Textures: High
  • Effects: Low
  • Post processing: High
  • Hardware Ray Tracing: Off
  • Nvidia Reflex Low Latency: On + Boost

You should also disable Record Replays in the Game tab, as they can also affect your PC’s performance. Next, go to the Audio tab, and disable Visualize Sound Effects.

Best Graphics Settings for Low-End PCs
