What is Trade Up in CS2
If you have a collection of CS2 skins that you are not happy with, or you have been accumulating a bunch of low-grade skins by playing a game, you do not know what to do with them. For situations like that, Trade Up might be a great solution for you. Read on and learn what is Trade Up and how you can use it to upgrade your CS2 skin collection.
Trade Up Contract in CS2 explained
In CS2 you can use a Trade Up Contract to combine ten skins of the same tier to get one skin of a higher tier. This is not a random process as it might seem at first. Every skin you put in for trade-up will influence the skin you will get. This means that the skin you get will be randomly selected from one of the collections among the skins you put into the contract. There are also some other rules, such as being unable to combine StatTrak and non-StatTrak skins in the same contract.
How to Trade Up?
In CS2 Inventory select the tab Trade Up. There you can select skins to add to the contract for Trade Up. Simply left-click a skin and select Use With Trade Up Contract. When you add the first skin, the game will automatically update the list of your owned skins and only show skins from the same tier range as the selected skin. Add skins until you reach ten in total. When you have ten skins selected mark a Ready To Trade box, and then click on Proceed. This way, the game will give you a new random skin of greater rarity.
