Retakes are one of the most critical times in a round of CS2. How well you play during a retake, whether on the CT or T side, can mean the difference between winning or losing the round. Being such an important part of the game it is strange that CS2 does not offer any way to practice only retakes. Luckily, the CS2 community offers a solution in the form of community servers. How to Join CS2 Retake Community Servers?
To join the retake server in CS2 you can use a couple of different methods. We will go through some of them here:
- You can use the Community Server Browser in CS2. Under the Play tab you will see an icon of the globe with a cursor. Clicking on it will open the Community Server Browser. Here you can browse through all community-run servers. There is also a Change Filter option where you can specify your search to easily find what you are looking for.
- Alternatively, you can use a console to access community servers. Make sure that you have enabled the console in settings. You can use console “`” to type one of the following links to access retake servers:

- Community sites are a great way to look for retake servers. That can be accessed from the site directly or you can copy their IP address and access them from the console in CS2. Many parameters of search can be modified here, like map, average skill of players in-game, and more. You can also change the regional server location. This means that you can pick the closest server to you for a smoother game experience. On xplay.gg and cybershoke.net you can find a good amount of Retake Servers running at any time.

What is Retake in CS2?
Round of retake starts with an automatic bomb plant, and T-side on one of the bomb sites. CT-side spawn near the bomb site and have to defuse the bomb to win. Keeping with the trend of beginning at the bomb plant you do not have the option to buy equipment in this mode. This means that at the start of every round, you will get a random weapon and utility.
