Call of Duty Players Elated That Items Won’t Be Carried Over to Black Ops 6

The fans of any game would be blown away if they could transfer all of their weapons, skins, etc. to the next installment of the game. Well, this doesn’t apply to Call of Duty players, as they are more than happy that none of their items from previous installments will be carried over to Black Ops 6. Sounds unbelievable, but the players gladly explained their stance.

Rumor Had it That Some Items Would Be Carried Over to Black Ops 6

While waiting for BO6 to drop, you might have stumbled upon rumors that the players would be able to transfer all their items from another game in the franchise. Since CoD: Modern Warfare III was released last, fans presumed there could be a possibility to carry all your stuff over to Black Ops 6. Thankfully, these rumors turned out not to be true.

One player, ragingseaturtle, explained why this was actually amazing news. They noted: “I went to play MW3 today after a long break. I forgot how overwhelming the sheer amount of attachments and weapons are. I would love going forward for the game’s multiplayer to just be standalone. Sure, I get the concept but I just honestly hate having a bazillion attachments”.

Players explained how important it was for games to feel like separate entities. If one could just carry over all of their items, every game would completely lose all and any individuality. Thus, all games would play exactly alike, making them into an ultimately boring amalgam.

LegalChocolate752 added: “The amount of optics, muzzle attachments, and under-barrel grips is beyond obnoxious at this point. And I feel like maybe 10 are ever used in each category. The rest are just obstacles to scroll past”.

Call of Duty Players Share Why Starting Off Fresh Is Better

Sure, the Call of Duty players who find a huge number of items overwhelming don’t want them carried over to Black Ops 6. That makes sense completely, but what about the players who enjoy that variety? Surprisingly enough, even those players would like to start Black Ops 6 with a clean slate.

One such player, kstormtrooper13, stated: “I’m going to miss running as Zero and Nova and their fun voice lines. But, I am ready for a fresh, less overwhelming start of weapons, attachments, and the latter”.

Of course, some players have put hours upon hours into grinding or even spent money on new items. Those players were quite conflicted over this matter. Weary-Hovercraft7305 said: “I have mixed feelings about it. The hours I put into grinding camos but it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey. All those good times grinding and I can do it once more”.

So, you can look at this as an opportunity to enjoy the game and grind away. Honestly, we do love variety, but all in moderation. Having to pick through hundreds of items to finish a build can be a bit too much, so we’re glad to be starting from nothing. Also, this will allow the players to be equal at the start. And, with some major additions, we’re sure the devs won’t let down the players.
