The official release of the controversial PS5 Pro console is getting closer and closer. While being made with the most advanced components and offering smooth gameplay at consistent 60FPS, the initial PS5 Pro announcement was met with severe criticism, predominantly due to the steep price tag ($699). Add the fact that it doesen’t come with the almost-essential disk reader and the vertical stand, and you get a lot of angry fans. However, when side-by-side comparison videos started coming in, players gradually warmed to Sony’s newest console. And now, with the release date getting closer, it looks like the PlayStation 5 Pro is already a best-seller.

According to Amazon, the PlayStation 5 Pro is the number-one best-seller in the PlayStation 5 Games category. This is quite unexpected since it looked like everyone is heavily against PS5 Pro and its high price. PS5 Pro is a best-seller in: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, and Spain.
More and more studios are doing their best to update their games, so they can fully run on PS5 Pro when it releases (and that proved to be easier than expected). Most popular games already have the coveted “PS5 Pro Enhanced” Tag, meaning that playing them in PS5 Pro will be a heck of an experience.
PlayStation 5 Pro Has to Replace PS Portal As a 2024 Best-Seller
While the PS5 Pro console is on its way, the current best seller for the year 2024 is PlayStation Portal Remote Players. According to Mat Piscatella, an Executive Director & Video Game Industry Analyst at Circana: “The PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller in Midnight Black was August’s best-selling accessory in dollar sales, while PlayStation Portal remained the best-seller for 2024 year-to-date.”
The year 2024 still has a couple of months to go. The PS5 Pro console releases in early November, which means it will have less than two months to replace the PlayStation Portal as the 2024 Best-Seller. Who do you think is going to win?
