The hype for BO6 is real! Since the devs decided not to give early access to the Campaign Mode, the players have been restless. The release date for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is set for October 25, and some players are sure that it is the longest gap between the beta and the full release in the entire Black Ops series.
Why Is the Gap Between the Black Ops 6 Beta and the Full Release So Long?
Devoted players are impatiently waiting for the full release to drop. While doing so, some of them have found an interesting pastime – figuring out why the wait for the game is so incredibly long.
One player, hiPP0CR4732, noted: “Cold War and MW3 were both 25 days from beta end to launch. With this beta ending on September 9th, we have to wait 46 days before the release, almost double. As a game that has had some of the best polish in recent CoD history, I can’t imagine why they opted for such a large stretch of time in between for this game”.
The most probable solution is that the developers are using this time to examine the feedback from the beta and apply necessary changes. There were some unpolished details in the beta, so the devs are probably putting some finishing touches, as well.
Call of Duty Fans Are Impatient for the Release
Some Call of Duty players claimed that this gap until the release of Black Ops 6 would be used to perfect the game for… other reasons. Sensitive-Tax2230 joked: “I’m guessing it’s to fix more s**t and make sure they got things right compared to mw2/3”.
Still, that doesn’t mean that the majority of the community isn’t extremely excited for the full release. Ultra9630 stated: “I’m counting the days until I can finally play the Campaign. I want to see what kind of mindf**kery they plan on doing on my smooth brain. (Catch me spending 3 hours exploring the safe house alone)”.
Others admitted to buying and playing other games, but nothing scratched the itch. DeadheadXXD said: “Every day I’m counting down. I’ve tried so many other shooters/games while I’ve been waiting and nothing hits as good as that beta. It’s one of a kind IMO and I think it’s gonna be the best COD release we’ve had in years.”
At the time of writing this article, a full month is left until the release. We can’t even imagine how exciting the last days before the drop will be if the hype is already palpable. So, be patient, the devs are working hard, and the release date is closer than it might feel.
