The wait for the full release is long, so the players have the opportunity to re-examine each and every aspect of Black Ops 6. One of the fans’ focal points is the maps, as there were some concerns regarding their sizes. Thankfully, the Call of Duty community figured out how to measure a map size in Black Ops 6 and they are quite pleased with the results.
A Call of Duty YouTuber Debunked Map Sizes
If you are following the news about Black Ops 6, you might have seen some dreary predictions for the map sizes, basically saying the maps would be tiny. Now, since no one has the full information, the majority of these predictions are just that, so take this with a grain of salt.
Most recently, TheXclusiveAce, a well-known YouTuber, decided to debunk these rumors in his latest video. This player figured out a way to measure the exact distance in the existing maps and applied that data to figure out the rest of the sizes.
Now, as any good community, the BO6 players took the data from the video and broke it down even more. One player, Imaginary_Monitor_69, created several interesting charts, including the one that sorted the maps by size in pixels.
Black Ops 6 Players Feel Relief Over Map Concerns
If these promising calculations are correct, the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 players will be in for a treat, as almost every map seems to be of a decent size. Of course, once again, these findings seem accurate, in our opinion, but, keep in mind that we won’t know for sure until the full game drops on October 25.
However, the majority of the community felt relief, and they weren’t shy about sharing that with the world. ClutchChris69 noted: “I’m glad there are some bigger maps in rotation. I was worried it would be nothing but small maps like Babylon”.
HeyLetsRace added: “I’m nervous as a big map enjoyer, but I always give Treyarch a benefit of the doubt because their games are just fun to me. Though, I am concerned about HC SnD just being chaos. Side note, Payback being ~40% smaller than Nuketown, that map is gonna be tiny”.
We don’t mind the small maps, but variety is always a good thing, so we’re glad to see it. Of course, until we try them all out, we can’t know how the maps will feel, so we’re cautiously optimistic for now. How about you? Which map do you look forward to playing on?
