What Are Soul Coins for in Baldur’s Gate 3?
According to Baldur’s Gate 3 lore, Soul Coins are essentially a type of currency used within a hellish realm called Avernus. There, they’re used to power infernal engines. This isn’t of much use to you, but the coins do have another purpose in the game.
When you recruit Karlach, she’s able to consume Soul Coins to power up. This grants her the Infernal Fury ability until Long Rest, increasing fire damage while Raging or when her health is low. Of course, you won’t find too many Soul Coins in total, so it’s best not to waste them.
