How to Get the Gontr Mael in Baldur’s Gate 3

To get your hands on the Gontr Mael in Baldur’s Get 3, you’ll first need to head to the Steel Watch Foundry. This is located near the Gray Harbor Docks Waypoint in the Lower City. In the event that you haven’t unlocked this section quite yet, you can get there by heading south from the House of Grief. Just come prepared to pick a few locks and battle several Steel Watchers along the way.

When you come upon the security office in the area, you’ll then need to choose whether to help the workers there or kill them. As you learn about their circumstances, it’s revealed that their families are being held hostage. This ups the ante a bit. If you elect to delve deeper into the foundry without saving anyone, you’ll move forward alone. However, saving the hostages will earn you their support.

Having made your decision, head inside the laboratory. You’ll need to go to the Control Centre Antechamber and pick the lock to get in. But be warned — a Steel Watcher Titan waits within. If you can defeat it in combat, you can then loot its body to obtain the coveted Gontr Mael.
