Remedy Entertainment has revealed the release date for the New Game Plus for Alan Wake 2, but what is it, what does that mean? Read on to find out.
Alan Wake 2 is an incredible sequel to the original Alan Wake game. It took the awards for Best Narrative, Best Game Design, and Best Art Direction. Play as Alan Wake, a famous writer, as he tries to escape the Dark Place, or as Saga Anderson, an FBI Agent, trying to solve a murder mystery that takes her down a dark path. The game, with its hyper-realistic look, is filled with clues, secrets, and even some hidden plotlines. These are further expanded by New Game Plus, a new addition to the game coming soon to Alan Wake 2, so let’s read on to see what it is and what it brings.
What is New Game+ for Alan Wake 2?
New Game+ is a feature many games have. It means that when you finish the game, a new game mode becomes available. In it, you play the whole story again, but with new features, stronger enemies, etc. For Alan Wake, this feature is called Alan Wake 2: The Final Draft, and it includes a new ending to the story, tougher enemies, and new lore in the form of manuscript pages and videos. Remedy claims that the new ending and lore will spark speculation and theory-crafting among its fans. Note that you will not lose your upgrades, Charms, and weapons from your first play-through. Handy, since the new Nightmare Difficulty will test the limits of your skills. What about the release date?

When is New Game Plus Released?
Alan Wake 2: The Final Draft is set to be released on Monday, December 11, 2023. More specifically at 10am PT/1am ET/6pm GMT on all available platforms.
