After 13 years Remedy Entertainment’s famous horror-thriller is getting a sequel, but will Alan Wake 2 be on Game Pass? Here’s what we found out.
Join Alan Wake as he tries to survive the horrors of The Dark Place. The original game was massively popular and fans finally got a sequel. It arrives 13 years after its predecessor which was on Xbox Game Pass in May 2020. Will this also be the case with Alan Wake 2?
Will Alan Wake 2 Be Available On Game Pass?
Sadly, nothing indicates that AW2 be on Game Pass on launch, so that is a no. No confirmation has come from either Epic Games or Xbox. If you are subscribed to Game Pass and want to see where Alan Wake 2 will take you, you will have to get the full game.
As mentioned earlier, the original Alan Wake and its spin-off The American Nightmare were on Game Pass before. There is a chance that Alan Wake 2 will be there too, sometime in the future. But, since Alan Wake Remastered has yet to be on Game Pass, we may have to wait for a while. Moreover, Alan Wake 2 has been developed by Epic Games, which is a competitor to Microsoft. That makes the chances of Alan Wake 2 appearing on Xbox’s subscription service even slimmer.
Is AW 2 on Xbox One?
For now, Alan Wake 2 is only on current gen platforms. Fans who own PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will not be able to enjoy the next installment of the famous horror-thriller. That may be subject to change in the future, but that may come with a serious downgrade in game quality on those platforms as the game seems to be intended for newer technologies. Alan Wake 2 is set to be released at the end of October for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
