When Is Alan Wake 2 Coming Out?
The Alan Wake 2 release date is currently scheduled for Friday, October 27, 2023. It is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. There has been no announcement for a Steam release, but seems highly unlikely considering Epic Games is the publisher for this sequel.
The game will be available only digitally with Standard and Deluxe Editions. The Deluxe Edition will contain the base game, the Nordic shotgun skin, Parliament shotgun skin, Saga’s crimson windbreaker outfit, Alan’s celebrity suit outfit, lantern charm, and the Expansion Pass containing two post-launch expansions.
What Is Alan Wake 2 About?
Alan Wake 2 takes place 13 years after the events of the original game, where horror writer and bestselling author Alan Wake went missing. FBI agent Saga Anderson is sent to the town of Bright Falls, Washington to investigate a series of murders, and finds pages for a horror story with events that happen around her.
The story that Saga is trapped in was written by Alan Wake himself to escape the prison of the Dark Place, an alternative dimension. Players will switch between both Saga in the Pacific Northwest and Alan in the Dark Place for the duration of the game.
