Yup, Nintendo is killing it with great game after great game. Meanwhile PS/XB are really just coasting on rereleases of last gen games while Sony's first party studios drop stinker after stinker and Microsoft once again relies on Halo to get them by.

It's funny because a lot of people wrote Nintendo off (myself included) but they really are delivering some great games, something their competitors are failing miserably at.

I was referring to games you cant play anywhere but next gen. Those games are both on last gen. Forza Horizon 2 is very fun from what i played though

I love my wii u but it has also been out longer thus have more games. We need to see how the ps4 and xbox one do when all the heavy hitting exclusives start to come out next year which would be their second year much like this is the wii U's second year.

Im sure sony and MS will both have more games on the list by next year. But pikmin 3 and SM3DW were both out in wii u's first year.

LBP3 could very well steal top or second knowing that series' critical history. Now that i think about it cross gen games count, just not HD remakes.

your right about the awesomeness of nintendo but your a little bit fanboyish at the same time. What "stinkers" has sony dropped besides driveclub and knack? Also how is xbox relying on halo when their first halo game hasn't even dropped yet. Im not gonna rag on the competition when they haven't even hit their year mark yet. Nintendo better release amazing games if its been on the market for 2 whole years now, why not give the other guys the same amount of time before we call them failures, sony's next year is looking almost ps2ish it looks amazing and micro is lookin strong too.

Lets not forget nintendo had a pretty weak first years as well.

Forza Horizon 2 comes before Resogun, just fyi. The release on the 360 was by a different studio and uses a totally different engine and AI. It doesn't have all the dlc options either, its really a totally different game.

Wait what? I like 3D World. I know it got very good reviews, but Bayo2 got many times a 100/100, 10/10, 5/5. It got perfect game scores, not just good ones. Havent played Bayo until now though, but will put the disc in today at some time.

It doesnt need the non rehash stuff in the title, because it is the highest rated new gen game until now, rehashs included.

Wow can you people read? The op was talking about remakes as rehashes. The last of us is a highly rated game on ps4, but its a remake of the ps 3 version. Bayonetta 2 is not a remake but a new title in the series, thats all the author is pointing out.

Congrats to Nintendo, platinum games, and WiiU fans. I personally couldn't get into the first game but this kind of positive prob lucite is exactly the kind of thing Nintendo needs for the WiiU. It's had some hits so far with their first party IP's but took a huge hit PR wise releasing a lower spec system around the time if the PS4 and XB1 announcements.

I don't currently own any Nintendo products, but I grew up playing NES and the original Zack Moris phone sized original Gameboy, so I always like hearing positive Nintendo news. Hate to see one of the original OG's taking a back seat cause of the flashier "newer" consoles.

Platinum can do no wrong in my book. These guys are the kings of video game arcade action. Every game I have played from them is so fantastic.

If it is a sequel then there are design ideas, characters and gameplay elements that have been rehashed. This is no bad thing of course, all games reuse designs but I feel it is extremely disingenuous to claim other games are rehashes and not lay that claim at the foot of a sequel.

For me, Bayonetta 2 may be the game that makes me buy a WiiU, I adored the first game and the sequel looks utterly amazing, along with its other amazing exclusives I feel like now is the time to pick up a Wii U, it has a decent enough catalogue of exclusives to justify owning one for sure.

Quality titles are what Nintendo does best and I'm really excited about the Wii U's future. It has had a bit of a slow start (PlayStation 4 and XBOX One notwithstanding), but 2015 looks to be great for every gamer. I consider the Wii U to currently be the only must-have console this year. Next year will be a great time to own any platform though.

For all the people praising the wiiu and its quality of games. Keep in mind its been 2 years on the market. Nintendos first year is always lacking. Like the 3ds for example.

It's first year was a failure because Nintendo didn't have enough games out at the time, didn't advertise what it DID have, and allowed third parties to have the run of the Wii U with crappy ports.

They DID release Mario 3D World during their first year, though, and that's still one of the most highly rated exclusives out there.
