Twinfinite: With some screens of The Last of Us Remastered having surfaced yesterday, we decided to take a few of the screens ourselves and take a look at just these new screens match up with some of the ones we already have. Let's see how the game is holding up against its PS3 predecessor.

Well, first, I'd like to point out the paradox in that your statement is complaining about someone else. So, that just makes you a hypocrite.

Second, the fact that he hinders the discussion area by posting his nonsense with only an assessment from the title is more than frustrating. He doesn't read/watch the articles, and when one doesn't do that, then they can't possibly contribute.

From the looks of them, they are compressed. You'll just have to wait and see ;p

Yes they are, They are in the 650 pixel range whereas the PS4 version should be pumped to its maximum resolution (1920*1080)

So if you´re doing a comparison, no compression please.

Looks like a PS3 game. Can't say I wasn't expecting this.

It doesn't look as good as I expected. At least it runs at 60 fps.

Tomb Raider and MGS GZ was very noticeable on my 55in TV when I compared both, even on a small screen is noticeable to me.

High res textures and improved lighting, pretty much what I would expect from the new gen version of a cross gen game.

Not very noticeable change on the Graphics dept. The 1080p Output and 60 fps is what will make it much better!

It's just running on 1080p with better lighting and 60fps..i mean, every games will have that kinda graphic improvements when compared in 720p and 1080p. I'd wait for the price to drop and when theres no new games to play..for now, i'll just play the games on PC first...

Don't forget the images are compressed, meaning the higher definition image won't look as good as it actually is.

ummmmm . . i just came back from playing Resident Evil 1 for the gamecube, maybe thats why The Last of Us looks ps2 .

FYI. Just to clear up any inconsistancies, the last image has been flipped. The top screen cap is actually from the remastered PS4 version, and the bottom screen cap is taken from the original PS3 release.

This is a rerelease of a game that was built for a 9 year old system rereleased on a 9 month old system which requires you to install an additional 50GB's to your HDD & you can now see the "ground-breaking" difference between the 2 for yourself.

Again the stupid among you will say im "anti PlayStation everyone should ban him".... Even though nothing I have said is in any way related to PlayStation only this particular release from ND.

If ND had been honest about the game in it's promotion of it up until release I wouldn't be bothered. It's a great game rereleased for those who want it. That's not the point though as we've been constantly led to believe that it's something that it's not with "Huge graphical update", "Truly Next-gen" "4x texture upgrade" "Locked 60fps"

...Just be honest & people wouldnt need to complain especially with a game at the calibre of TLOU, there is absolutely no need!!

To be fair, it's not as if there was some great revelation to be had from beating the game. The ending was written to be ambiguous. So that even if someone were to "spoil it", their interpretation of transpired events might differ from yours. Thus creating a unique, organic experience. I get what you're saying though. My only advice to you would be to avoid any and all things related to TLOU until the games release. Including this comment section. In fact, forget you ever read this.
