"It’s a great time to be a Resident Evil fan. After years of suffering through mediocre sequels and uninspired spin-offs, the franchise finally seems to have got back on track of late.

Eternal Darkness was way ahead of its time especially for a Nintendo exclusive.

Games like Lethal Company end up scary because of their freeform nature, while Resident Evil's polish and storytelling ultimately make them rather tame in comparison. Agree or disagree?
Really enjoyed the first episode. That Forest segment alone scared me more than any other Resident Evil title in years.

"The two-character dynamic of having one weapon-carrying person and one support one with special abilities makes for some interesting problem-solving and, most of all, cool tactical possibilities"
To each their own , i personally dislike it , and it kills the mood and atmosphere so praised at first in the article .
I spend most of my time in Raid Mode, but I don't know how to feel about the game. Visually, it's an eyesore. There's no reason for the frame drops on the current gen consoles at all either considering what we know they can do. Budget title or not, they can do better.
The controls work, but I could feel the identity crisis in the mechanics. It's like a combination of Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil Revelations, and Resident Evil Zero using characters from Resident Evil 1 and 2/Code Veronica.
Overall, I'm having enough fun with it and the season pass was cheap, but I think the potential is being squandered. It could be so much more than it is. Inevitably, Resident Evil 7 will have the bells and whistles, but Capcom should be putting their resources into Revelations in my opinion.
