I strongly recommend the GBC Mario Golf. It's the perfect portable game. Addicting as hell, very pick up and play friendly, and it has an RPG-esque character progression system, which adds depth. I bought this game pretty much immediately when it came to the VC. Easily worth the 150 coins.
The plot thickens. As an NHL fan, this reminds me of trade deadline drama lol.
High profile player gets put on the market(Atlus). It draws a lot of potential suitors. The team holding the player's rights(Index), takes time to narrow the list and ultimately decide on a partner.
Now, I know this isn't a 1:1 analogy, obviously, but that's honestly what it feels like to me at this point.
Hopefully a third party gets it so things can g...
It's good that other people get the chance to play this. I've only played the 3DS demo, but it seems like a great retro inspired platformer.
It's definitely on my "To buy" list.
I had a similar childhood. Aside from handhelds, we never stuck to one brand of console consistently.
Good to see AA 5 doing well. Can't wait to play it this fall.
3DS did great. I can only imagine what damage Pokemon's going to do in October.
I think the Bayonetta 2 acquisition was more about Nintendo sending a message than the actual IP. What I mean by that is, Nintendo wanted to show people it was serious about trying to please the core. I don't think they expect it to flourish in terms of sales. The first one did okay at best, and a large majority of Wii U owners likely never even played the first one.
It'll be interesting to see if they follow the tone they set. They already kind of are by green lighti...
I prefer the 3DS simply because it has the types of games I want on a portable console. I've owned Nintendo handhelds for a long time, and I've been happy with all of them. This isn't a knock on Vita, this is me saying Nintendo offers what I prefer.
However, that won't stop me from eventually getting a Vita. Especially when I'm going to be owning a PS4. Plus, Tearaway looks great.
Like someone said above, so much of this debate is entirely...
Awesome! First Pearl and now Miles. Turns out we'll be seeing a number of characters from the Phoenix games after all.
Wow, I didn't realize how similar my post was to the summary at the top. I apologize.
Your assumption was correct. I admit I just came here to see the comments, which I like to do at times. My post was more of a general comment on the subject rather than a specific reply to the article.
So yeah, I guess I was just agreeing with the author lol.
Tell me about it. This is crazy. It's also kind of funny and a little sad.
That's the gaming media for ya lol.
It really wouldn't make sense for any major publisher/console maker to purchase Atlus.
Atlus also publishes their own stuff. Major companies are pretty good on publishing, so wouldn't they just be buying empty assets? One has to think that Atlus' publishing will factor into the price. I doubt Atlus could really offer a big company anything in that regard.
Atlus should go to a mid-tier developer/publisher that could use Atlus' publishing and lo...
Great blog. I always got the feeling that the "Nintendo/Sony should scoop them up" comments are clouded in bias and selfishness, and maybe even greed.
I'm a Nintendo and Playstation fan/console owner, so neither situation would be a disaster or anything for me. However, it does disappoint me that a vocal group of fans on both sides effectively want to deprive fans of the other camp of Atlus games. I just don't get that aspect of it.
The ide...
I think going exclusive to anybody should be a last resort for them.
Atlus has a strong presence on both Nintendo and Sony platforms. That cannot be denied. It would be a waste if EITHER relationship had to end.
So yeah, I say they should look for a 3rd party buyer before siding with one of the console makers.
+bubble for helpful. Thanks a lot for that.
Pokemon fits that description, I think.
...they have my interest lol. I seriously doubt it'll be a core Pokemon game. They would be stupid to tease that now during the X/Y launch hype.
Still, though, this could be interesting. Nintendo's recent collaborations have been pretty neat.
I'm like that too, somewhat. I have 3 girls with "A" supports with my character, and I still haven't made a decision yet. It's looking like Tharja, though. I like Lissa, too, but she goes so well with Donnel.
In the mean time, I'm grinding supports with the other characters to see how they are.
I think I'm just a big fan of the support system in general.
I know that there's a lot of darkish content in the Phoenix games already, so this really shouldn't be surprising.
Still, though, I didn't really expect an M rated AA game. I hope the more lighthearted aspect doesn't go away or get diminished.
This game is addicting as hell. I think I'm even more addicted to this one then I was to Wild World. Most of the new stuff is small, such as new furniture, etc, but there's a LOT of small changes and tweaks in this game. It's going to take a while to find them all. For example, the other day one of the animals showed me that I could fish off a cliff if there was water directly under it. I'm constantly learning new things, which makes me want to play more.
It really is a great game. Definitely my favorite Mario Golf title.
It sucks that when something really worth the coins pops up, it's a game I already have lol.
