I dunno, if anything I compare the Wii-U to Sega's Saturn.
It's a failure compared to the previous console but they still have room to make a comeback, hopefully they don't do an Atari or Sega by releasing multiple failures in a row as that will what will get them.
Even if Wii-U ends up being a proper failure, I think Nintendo is smart enough to come up with something better next time.... hopefully.
Atari should know all about the path of irrelevance from all they learned during the life cycles of the 5200, 7800, Jaguar and Lynx.
No big loss, the game isn't exactly great anyway...
I use my PC for modern games if I can, they usually simply look and run better on my PC than they would on a console. I still have my PS3 and 360 around for their exclusives though, as some of them are just too good to pass up on.
And then there's my retro console collection, which I'm not going to get in to as I just have too many of them.
Anyway point being I prefer PC, but saying that it's better than console gaming in every way is a bit silly ...
My 60GB PS3 that I bought back at launch is still going strong. I'm surprised actually as everyone else I know who had one, theirs have broken lol.
Oh well, I'm not complaining. I'll probably carry on using it until it eventually breaks.

... I'm pretty happy with their games that I've played on my tablet. Sure they are no AAA console games, but they are good to play for short amounts of time and they are cheap.

I just looked it up, apparently it's something that allows the GPU and CPU to share the same spaces in memory rather than having their own separate segments, so each can directly access and influence the other rather than having separate pieces of memory where things need to be copied between all the time.
Seems like something stupid to argue about in my opinion.

It actually goes even further than that, there are 9 different internal revisions of the original (Large) Mega Drive/Genesis.
The notoriously bad one is the model VA7, it's the one with bad audio.
My Japanese Mega Drive is one of the really early ones, the manufacture date is 1988 according to the motherboard. My other Mega Drive is the later ones, without the "High Definition Graphics" text, but it is not the VA7 so it doesn't have the bad ...
I'm not really a fanboy of anything. I collect retro game consoles so I can't really say I'm a fanboy as I own consoles made by pretty much everybody.
I am against Microsoft this generation simply because of the DRM policies which they initially had, even though they've reversed them I don't like the idea of the console as they could re-appear at any time. I'll probably end up with one myself at some point anyway.
PS4 and Wii-U, I'...
